The Doctor and Journey Prologue: Leaving Aristotle Aristotle The Doctor didn’t expect what he had just heard. Journey Blue had just asked him if she could join him as a travelling companion. He wasn’t sure he wanted another travelling companion, much less one who was a soldier. “I think you're probably nice. Underneath it all, I think you're kind and you're definitely brave…” He then paused. “So, no?” Journey said with disappointment. “I’m thinking.” “Oh.” The Doctor soon made his decision. “You can come.” “Yes!” Journey exclaimed. “Don’t make me regret it.” Having said her farewells to her uncle, Journey followed the Doctor and Clara into the TARDIS. “So, how does it work? That it’s larger on the inside?” “It’s very complicated,” the Doctor answered. “It has gone over my head,” Clara said. “Sorry, must get ready,” she said. She dashed off. “How large is it?” Journey asked. “Bigger than you can imagine,” the Doctor answered. TARDIS Clara returned to the console room having changed for her date with Danny. “How do I look?” she asked the Doctor. “Sort of short and round-ish, but with a good personality, which is the main thing,” he answered. “I meant my clothes. I just changed,” Clara clarified. “Oh, good for you. Still making an effort,” the Doctor said. Clara sighed. “Where are we?” Journey asked. “Clara’s time, in the early 21st Century,” the Doctor answered. “The 21st Century,” Journey considered. “Yes,” the Doctor stated. “An interesting time.”
