Does anyone collect the Toy Biz Lord of the Rings Firgures here?

First off i'd like to apologize for asking this on this board but i respect Star Wars Fans above all others. Are the LOTR figures worth collecting? I saw the Treebeard one and almost went nuts , ready to buy all i saw. I just wanted to know whether anyone here is buying them or do you think I should just stick to my awesome Star Wars collection? Moderators can delete this post as soon as you see fit, thanks.

 

yeah! theyre awesome toys... some people hate the battle feeatures but theyre worth buying.. ive got the whole set .. treebeard and sauron are totally great

 

I am currently looking For Sauron. Thouhg I myself do not collect the line, my father dose and the figures are spectacular.

The only one I currently have is Saruman, though I think I will someday buy a Treebeard for myself

 

HELL YEAH! I love these toys! I've got the whole line of both movies toys! Just picked up Sauron and TreeBeard the other day! Awesome toys! Their sitting comfortably on my subwoofer.

 

I dont collect them but I have bought a few, the only TTT figure I have is Legolas...Great Figure!

These are great figures but I also think the action features suck as much as the Hasbro figures.

 

Does anyone know if they have a Sam TTT figure?

I have a few mainly the fellowship except
Merry, Pippin and Boromir plus I bought the Rohirim troop and Eomer.
These figures look pretty cool but once you pose them once or twice they become loose limbed very quickly.

Well i went nuts. Bought a ton of the new one out including Treebeard. He was too cool to resist. They look great. Thx to all for the advice. If I didnt get these i'd regret it a couple years down the road. Now I collect Star Wars and LOTR. No more!! I can't afford to buy any other line lol. My wife almost killed me when she looked in my car and saw 10 boxes of figures in my back seat lol. Oh what the hell right?

 

Get the sauron figure if you don't have it. Easily one of the coolest figures I've seen in quite some time. (you can take his fingers and his ring off! how cool is that???)

I really wanted that treebeard, but, I just didn't feel like it was worth 30 bucks. (But I felt like the sauron was worth 20 bucks...go figure.) The treebeard looks like its gonna be a shelf warmer though, so I'm waiting for him to go on clearance.

TTT: Faramir, Legolas w/ Rohan Armor

I want to get the Lurtz vs. Boromir twin pack, Elrond, Newborn Lurtz (maybe)and Upcoming Galadriel

I was recently on the fence with TTT figures but I took the plunge.

They are very good. The likenesses are excellent for most of the figures. The detail is good. They are definitely worth the $8 a piece.

I highly recommend the Rohirrim Soldier. He has great armor detailing and looks cool. The Easterling looks great as well. As do most of the others.

I got problems. In 2 hrs on Ebay i have all the figures from Fellowship of the ring but the boromir set. My wife is gonna kill me ! Funny thing is i just decided to get these things yesterday. I saw 3 Saurons at the toys r us by me, went today and all 3 gone. I"m such an ass. But this is it! Star Wars and Lord of the Rings ONLY !! LOL i'm too old for this ****.

To Elaborate, I think LOTR is Excellent and am Really starting to fall in Love with the story. On my list it is right under The Star Wars Trilogy.
However, I can Barely afford Star Wars toys, I collect ALL the toys basically, LEGO sets, Action figures, Ships, Beasts, etc. So it's Hard to Collect anything else! But I do anyway I have about 40 Simpsons figures and 10 playsets!
Anyway... I have 1, Count'em 1 Lord of the Rings toy TTT Gandalf The White
He is a Great figure, But I'm trying to not buy them All! And Trust me I'd like to have All my favorites like Sarumon, Samwise, Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Frodo, Ringwraiths, etc. Just can't afford it, So I bought my Favorite character Gandalf
Knowing me I'll eventually break down & buy more of them

 

I have to be thrifty with all the new Toys coming out. Dosent Help I'm into Several lines. The Major ones being SW and Gundam.

I'll most likley break down and Get Sauron though, I dont honestly see how I Cant!!!!
