Does Boba Fett know Kung-Fu?

Boba Fett is supposed to be the most lethal man in the galaxy, trained in dozens of various arts of combat. Does anyone know how many hand-to-hand combat forms that Fett was aware of?

Is there even a list? If so, is one of those forms Kung-Fu?

If he does know Kung-Fu, do you think that Funky Billy Chinn and Little Sammy Chung could defeat Fett?

So long as Fett only uses his hands and feet as weapons of war. No blasters, no jetpack, no daggers, only the items he was born with.

Just how good is Fett at hand-to-hand combat anyways?

 

well, Fett is extraordinarily strong, for a human; i can't remember what book, but he grabbed Bossk's wrist hard enought to grind the bones together. If he could do that to a Trandoshan, well...
but he probably is trained in Teras Kasi, which i think is the Star Wars version of Kung FU. So, in conclusion, Fett knows Kung Fu. Whoa.

I'm not quite so sure Boba Fett knows Kung Fu. If he had been in ANH, which was out in the '70's, he would most assuredly know Kung Fu. But, since he came on the scene in the '80's, I'm going to have to go with him having jumped on the Karate bandwagon.

 

The AotC novelisation spells out the fact that Jango wanted a pure clone so he could see how good a bounty hunter he could have been if he'd been trained from birth.

Boba Fett could accurately man the cannons and pilot Slave 1 at age 10, I dare say the kid knew throw a punch, especially given that he was trained by the Galaxy's most feared bounty hunter at the time

 

Im pretty certain that he was skilled in some kind of hand to hand combat, more than likely more than one, too.

 

I think the real question is. Do you know kung fu?

 

He is a lethal soldier, yes. But I seriously don't he knows Kung-Fu.

 

I would assume that he knows various styles of hand to hand combat but I don't read the EU so I am not sure, it would be cool to see him in EP3 whoop on someone with martial arts though.

 

Hmmm, so you all tend to believe that Fett either A) knows Kung-Fu only that it is called something else, or B)does not matter as he can still kick anyone's ass in hand-to-hand combat.

It would be nice to see either in EP3 or the EU Fett knocking countless men down with his bare fists.

In the end, I believe it's logic and pure laws of nature that will settle this debate: you just can't be that cool and not know Kung Fu.

 

Actually, there is a style of Kung Fu that is based on taking hits and giving back stronger ones. If I had to guess, I'd say that Jango knows something reminiscent to Jeet Kune Do, that is formless and adaptive- I can't see Jango doing kata. Bruce Lee was known to teach his students to break holds by biting. Just goes to show you that even something like a headbutt isn't below the greatest of martial artists. I think Obi Wan woulda beat his sorry posing behind, given more time, though.

An excellent point... if he is in fact, "that cool." And I'm not so sure I'm willing to grant him that.

This is the man who fell into the exact same Sarlacc pit - a freakin' stationary hole - three times. The first being facillitated by a blind Han Solo.

Before we can answer whether Boba Fett is even cool enough to know Kung Fu, we have to establish whether he's merely a poseur or the real deal.
