Does Butter Fly?

That is the one question that haunts my tortured brain.
"Does Butter Fly?" well does it?

It isn't as aerodynamic as some semi-solid spreads like Jam or even Margarine, but butter does pretty well.

Of course, if you ever see a house fly or a horse fly, then there is no comparison.
They fly much better, but do not garner the same sense of awe as when the butter flies.

In tests conducted by the scientists at Los Alamos, NM, it has been revealed that the thick consistancy of butter, when thrown at a correct velocity and upward angle, indeed takes flight on its own in midair.

Of course, these tests are somewhat flawed by the supposed "Piggyback Slurp" principle that the weight of a ton of butter (TB) can be actually quite manipulated by the VOLUME of actual butter (VOB). And VOB is not equal to TB. SO having butter fly is a scientific anomaly--it will fly, but how and why are not defined, nor will they ever be.

Well, some of the top astrophysicists in the world are currently workin out a solution to the aforementioned "Piggyback Slurp" problem.

Dr. Bedford Travers of Columbian University says: "The problem is that Piggyback Slurp is like time travel---it IS possible, but such leaps in physics will probably never be attained in this lifetime. Or any, for that matter. So I don't expect to find anything out with this 'research'. I only signed on for the triple-digit pay."

Dr. Eugene Splycer of Oggsford University quips: "Piggyback Slurp is a common denominator when dealing with butter flying. We are working as hard as we can on the problem, but we need more caffeine and patience to scientifically deduce the number of Piggyback Slurp exostential egotism factors in order to have a natural flying butter phenomenon."

Dr. Splycer was arrested yesterday for possession and use of many controlled substances.

I've always wondered why butterflies are named butterflies. They look nothing like butter.

Thats like saying do cockaraockes cocka, do seals swim in the sea, are all humans man, does a grizzly bear grizzle, does a snozberry taste like a snozberry, is a strawberry made out of straws, how many red blood cells would it take to reach the moon, are chickens chicken, are dogs part of the hog family, why do dogs pee on fire hydrants what did they do to the dogs, all stupid questions just like does butter fly which we made up at my house. Oh and the butter at my house flys higher than any other butterfly in the universe. Now that im on the butter subject. Why would you classifie and fly with butter?
