Does Luke have something against Chewbacca?

When Luke is on Dagobah and has his vision or whatever of his friends hurt on Besbin, he confronts Yoda right away. He says he has to help his friends, Han and Leia. What about Chewie? There is no mention of Chewbacca in this scene. Does Luke forget about Chewie or am I just being strange?

 

It's a fair point, because Chewie does get tortured by sonic bombardment. But to be fair, Han does get put through worse, including carbon freezing. And perhaps by this point Luke is aware of Leia's feelings for Han and the suffering she endures during the freezing process.

 

I don't think it's anything personal against Chewbacca. He just assumed that Chewie is a given (along with the droids).

Chewbacca and Han are one. If he mention one of them, the other is included as well.

 

"Han, Leia, Chewbacca!!!"

Hmm, doesn't seem to have the same dramatic feel to it, does it?

 

Truth be told, Luke was jealous of Chewie. Luke wanted to be Han's sidekick and walk around naked (except for the bandolier, of course).

 

Chewie always gets the short end of the stick. No medal at Yavin, then he gets crushed by a moon.

 

I hate when that happens!

 

Not that it wouldn't be cool to see, I don't think that's it. But you never know I guess...

 

Somehow picturing Luke say that in his voice really cracks me up.

 

Luke's a bigot. Plain and simple. And it runs in the family. Dear ol' dad is part of a repressive regime that has humans dominating a galaxy with thousands of other sentient species and Leia called Chewie a "walking carpet."

Dunno. But since Chewie hung around Han, I guess it's true that he would just naturally be in trouble if Han was.

 

I really think Luke considers Chewie the family dog. Poor Chewie. Comes from a noble and highly sentient species and becomes nothing more than a pet.

 

Luke did scratch Chewie behind the ears in ESB. That's it, Luke is racist.
