I was reading the ROTJ novel and it said something about Palpatine's breath being corrupt... That got me wondering if he (or anyone else in SW) brushes his teeth! What do you think?

if you look at his ghastly grin in ROTJ, it didn't seem to me like he brushed his teeth

I doubt it. But the snaggle-tooth grin is part of his wholesome charm.

Besides, he's British. And all know that we Brits have the worst smiles ;)

Maybe those teeth are fake teeth. Maybe he's embarassed that his real teeth don't look evil enough. Maybe that's what he was doing as his shuttle docked in the Death Star at the beginning of ROTJ, he was fitting his fake teeth.

I guess he's just too busy trying to take over the universe. He doesn't have time for personal hygiene. :p

I hear Force lightning is great at eliminating plaque... Look at Luke's pearly whites after Palpy gives him the shock treatment.

The Dark Side wreaks havoc on tooth enamel. Why do you think Vader wore a mask?

The dark side of the Force has even made the Emperor's breath bad. I mean, even if he did brush them I doubt if it would do any good. I recall Darth Maul having real bad teeth too.

Does the Emperor brush his teeth?

    Well, he does have a lightbrush with lightbristles on both ends. We just haven't seen him use it. 8-}

Palpatine probably used Dark Side tooth paste. Tooth paste that leads to others suffering from his bad breath.

His dentist probably has stern words with him. "You're not brushing three times a day, are you Your Highness?"

It's the secret sugar addiction. Murder on your winning smile.

Who cares about his teeth. Have you guys seen his eyes? He should be brushing those yellow nuggets with some Visine.

I think the Emperor has what dentists refer to as
    " trench mouth. "

I betcha the Emperor had some major halitosis going on. He didn't need to zap Luke with Force-lightning. All he had to do was breathe on him.

Vader must've been glad to have a breathing mask and filter whenever he talked to the Emperor, so he didn't get a whiff of that foul stench coming from Palpy's pie hole.

When the novelization said Palpy's teeth were corrupt, it actually meant they took bribes.

    . . . orrr not.

In any case, I refer you here for more fabulous discussion of Star Wars teeth:

He brushes his teeth three times a day, and flosses every time.

Only problem? He uses acid to brush.

I think his tooth condition is similar to what causes a sloth's fur to be green, algae growing on them. His yellow eyes are due to having cirrhosis of the liver and jaundice because he's become a reclusive alcoholic in his last years. He always has to wear his hood because he gets massive hangovers which bothers his eyes.
