Dooku cape project

Hi Sorry about my bad english i'm from Denmark! I'm making a Count Dooku costume, I need a little help with the cape! I can see in the movie that the cape goes up his neck. And I don't know how to make that, please help me. I have made some Darth Vader capes but this is not the same.

I had a band uniform like this once... all it is. is aluminum or cardboard in the neckpiece... then put a chain on it to put it on.... sew cardboard in the neckpiece and a bit of cotton... there ya go.. I've made quite a few of stuff like this...

 

Thank you! And the cape pattern is just the one I use to my vader cape? Like the pattern on the link below?

Dooku always had a very stiff costume, thick collar, stiff rubberized
