Dooku used the Force against Obi-Wan, but not against Anakin

When evaluating how easily Count Dooku defeated Obi-Wan Kenobi in REVENGE OF THE SITH while being beaten by Anakin Skywalker, one thing to note is this: Dooku used the Force against Obi-Wan. Several times, Obi-Wan was thrown through the air by Dooku through the Force. Against Anakin, however, Dooku relied on his lightsaber skills only. Was this by choice (i.e. part of Palpatine's plan), or had Anakin grown so powerful that Dooku was unable to use the Force effectively against him?

Palpatine told Dooku to kill Obi-wan and to test Anakin to see if he is ready to turn to the dark side.

 

He toasted Anakin with lightning in AOTC, I guess he felt that was enough.

 

A lot of people ask. How did Palpatine defeat those Jedi so easily? Well, It's simple really. He clouded their minds with the darkside. Leaving them in a trance like state for a second or two. Enough time for Palps to strike. You have to remember these Jedi are good, but have never encountered a Sith Lord. They're not ready for this battle. Although they have intelligent superior Jedi minds. To a Sith Lord like Palpatine. They're weak minded. Easy to control. Except Mace Windu of course, who goes far beyond the normal Jedi. Same with Yoda.

It also explains why Dooku can defeat Obi-Wan more easily than Anakin. Obi-Wan fought Darth Maul, but he was no where near the level of Palpatine and Dooku. Obi-Wan is not ready to battle a Sith like Dooku. A Sith like Dooku can easily cloud Obi-Wan's mind, over taking him. Anakin on the other hand has a lot of hate flowing through him. Rather than be taken by the darkside. He unknowingly embraces the darkside. Dooku can feel it, thats why Dooku gets that scared look towards the end. He knows what's coming. Palpatine also senses the hate in Anakin. So he exploits that to benefit his cause. Which is of course, the Sith getting Revenge.
