Setting: About twelve years after The unifying Force

Maybe it was a feeling of dread Jacen Solo had when he stepped onto the world of Hapes, but he knew something was wrong with the kind, beautiful, red haired Queen Mother Tenel Ka. Jacen had come here with his fourteen year old nephew Ancin Fel. Ancin was Jaina Solo and Jag Fel?s son. Jacen had brought him here just to get away from everything. Everything meaning having to deal with his mother never wanting him to be in danger.

Just a week earlier pirates had appeared above Coruscant, and against what Ancin?s mother had asked him which was to stay on Coruscant and away from his X-Wing, he?d gone after them. But Jacen knew he?d saved lives on the ship the pirates were attacking. Jaina had asked Jacen to talk to him since they seemed to understand each other. But no matter what Jacen said he knew Ancin was a lot like his other uncle who was currently on Ossus with other Jedi.

Tenel Ka seemed to feel Jacen?s concern for her because she mastered whatever had been causing Jacen to feel like something was wrong with her. His nephew stepped of the landing ramp of the small ship and stood beside his uncle.

?I still don?t understand why we?re here. All I did was try to help,? Ancin whispered to him.

?We?ll talk later. But for now, enjoy this vacation,? Jacen told his nephew walking up to the Queen Mother.

?Yeah right, a vacation. That?s what I want right now,? Ancin said, but he followed his uncle up to Tenel Ka. Jacen bowed to her.

The drops of rain they fall all over

Ancin looked around at all the far people gathered here. This was definitely a nice place certainly. There were tress and wildlife. The sky was blue as Ancin?s eyes, which was kind of pale, almost looking grey. Ancin also had brownish blonde hair. He noticed a few girls who looked the same age as him standing nearby looking at him and his uncle. Ancin gave them a Solo smile and when his uncle jabbed him in the stomach with his elbow as he stood back up straight, that smile turned into a grimace. Ancin didn?t like this whole bowing business, but he did it anyways reluctantly.

Jacen looked into the eyes of the woman he still loved. Was he supposed to tell her how he felt? Was he supposed to bury the feelings?

?We?re honored to be here Queen Mother,? Ancin said, surprising Jacen. Jacen looked over at him and Ancin shrugged slightly.

Tenel Ka dipped her head at Ancin. ?It?s nice to see you again Ancin. Last I remember you were here I was changing your diaper,? Tenel ka said softly.

That turned Ancin scarlet especially since girls were here watching the whole encounter.

?It?s been too long, Tenel Ka. But you?re still the same,? Jacen said, his brown hair rustling in the breeze that suddenly came by.

?I agree. We need to catch up on many things,? Tenel Ka said, and it seemed her eyes reflected many things she?d gone through.

Tidal waves they rip right through me

Tenel Ka led them back to the palace. She gave them rooms for their stay. Minutes later Jacen stepped outside his doorway. Ancin was the room right across from him. Jacen quietly walked around the palace, looking for Tenel ka. He didn?t have to go far at all to find her. He found her standing on a balcony overlooking some of the city. People walked and trees waved their branches in the distance. Jacen recalled Jaina telling him of her trip with Tenel ka and some other Jedi into the wilderness when he?d been gone, captured by the Vong.

?It?s beautiful here. I don?t know how you lead these people so well,? Jacen said quietly from behind her.

Ancin Fel didn?t know what his uncle thought enjoying a vacation was, but Ancin knew what he thought it was. Adventure and he was going to find out what life what was like here. That meant seeing what the animals lives were like here. As he took a land speeder he wondered why his mother was so protective of him. Jacen treated him more like an adult. That?s all he was asking. He knew it could be worse. He knew he needed to enjoy this vacation, so he would. He went through the royal city to trees he saw in the distance.

He parked the borrowed land speeder and took off into the tress, his purple lightsaber dangling from his belt at his side. Mostly it was a comfort to have it there, but as he walked into the trees it felt strangely out of place while Ancin didn?t. Ancin had done what his uncle Anakin did with his lightsaber and put a lambent the Vong had grown in it. As he walked he saw many animals. Some were small and some were big. He felt a human presence behind him and he turned around slowly to face the Hapan girl. He recognized her from the crowd. She had light blonde hair with purple eyes. Are purple eyes normal here? Ancin thought.

?You?re a Jedi,? the girl stated.

?Yes I am. My lightsaber matches your eyes,? Ancin told her, grabbing his lightsaber but she moved back,? it?s okay.?

He ignited the lightsaber and the girl stared at it with fascination. ?What is your name?? Ancin asked her.

?Julina Carelt. What is your name?? she asked him.

?Ancin Solo. Umm . . . do you know her?? Ancin asked Julina, motioning to the girl behind her.

?Yes, she is my friend. I must go carrier of the lightsaber the color of my eyes,? Julina said, and then turned to go,? Ancin, if you need someone to show you around the royal city, just look for me.?

Ancin nodded, and then watched her go.

Ancin left the forest back to the palace. Minutes later when he got there his uncle was standing outside in the garden. Ancin jumped over a bush to get to Jacen. Ancin walked next to him then, wondering what he was thinking.

?Are you okay?? Ancin asked him, the tried to fix his untidy hair.

?Yes, everything?s fine. Ancin, try not to get yourself into trouble here. Your mother might just keep you on Ossus forever,? Jacen joked.

?Yeah well, I?m trying. I?m fourteen. I?m supposed to be doing the things I?ve done right? I mean you and mom were fourteen and were going around and doing great stuff,? Ancin said.

?I know. After we leave Hapes I?m thinking of taking you to Zonama Sekot. You?ve been there when you were little and I think the Vong could teach you something,? Jacen told him.

?How?s Tenel Ka?? Ancin asked him quietly.

Jacen nodded, knowing Ancin had already figured his concerns out and who they were for. ?She?ll be doing better.?

Ancin nodded. ?Do you feel that? Like someone . . . ,? Ancin stopped and shook his head.

Then from out of no where, but probably from a bush, a boy sprang out. He tackled Ancin and they both went to the ground. Ancin pushed the boy off and got to his feet his lightsaber in his hand. But as always his uncle was there, holding his hand back. Ancin rolled his eyes. The boy got to his feet also, his green eyes flaring.

?Right, you probably want to deal with this because I?m not supposed to be getting hurt,? Ancin whispered.

Jacen gave him a stern look then shrugged his shoulders and stepped back. Jacen was going to let him handle this one.
