Dr. Atkins, creator of popular diet, dies at 72

Said one fat woman, "I can't even finish a full tub of lard, I'm that upset."

Sad news, you'll all agree.

 

Well, well, well...

No carbs, lots of protein...

In other words, you can eat an entire cow for breakfast, but if you eat one noodle, your diet is over.

A menace to the animal population everywhere, not to mention the diet most popular with cardiologists...

I'm sorry to see him go. Can't say too much for the diet though--my grandparents are 85 and have eaten dessert three times a day all their lives.

What did he die of? Sausage clogging? Beef overdose? Or *gasp* chili backup?

 

Atkins has revised the diet. The new Atkins diet strongly suggests you stay away from ice and concrete. Doing so can prolong your life in certain individuals.

He made it to 72. Take that vegetarians!

Amazing.

 

He died of whacking his head on some concrete and went into a coma. He never came out.

Its not nice to make fun of a dead person, even if you didn't like him so stop.

OK...now this is not making fun of a dead person, this is curiosity...why the hell was he whacking his head on concrete? Did he get tired of trying to talk some sense into some of the people I've been in arguments with here?

 

He slipped on some ice. Too bad he had to die to something as petty as that.

 

He slipped and fell on some ice while leaving his New York home early last week after unusually cold weather. He hit his head on the sidewalk, and had been in the hospital since then, in a coma for at least part of the time.

 

Happened to my father back in February...fortunately for us it was only a broken shoulderblade...

 

I used to be on his diet. It worked.

I'm sad to see him go.
