Droids and Ewoks animated series possibly coming to DVD?!?!

The OS updates tonight with a Hyperspace exclusive story about the short-lived animated Droids and Ewoks series, and the collectibles that came from the shows (great article, be sure to check it out if you can).

Of particular interest is this quote from the tail-end of the article...

"...Perhaps a comprehensive collection will someday be available on DVD, which would undoubtedly please many Star Wars and animation fans alike. There are also hopes that the animated short from the Holiday Special will appear in some official capacity on future DVD releases, since it richly deserves a place in popular Star Wars lore."

Now, I know it's not an official confirmation or anything, but the fact that it came from the OS, and the fact that they say "perhaps", and not never, is good enough to give us some hope at least.

 

Droids on DVD, please oh please oh please!

I used to watch that show and Ewoks on Sci-Fi channel every morning when I was a kid.

 

I watched the Droids cartoon when it was first on Saturday mornings. I picked-up the Droids video that came out a few years back. I would love to have Droids on DVD.
