Looks like they got things worked out and AOTC will be hitting IMAX screens in the US and Canada starting Nov. 1st. Click here for the full story from starwars.com.

Looks like November's gonna be another full month of get togethers! :D

I just saw this on the RPF....now we need a Date for MN...and the debate NOW is, will it be in IMAX format or shrunk to fit screen like it was a couple months ago at various IMAX's???

Anything in Imax is cool. Twil be neat. To quote the second paragraph

" This is not just the projection of the standard theatrical print on an IMAX screen -- the movie will undergo the revolutionary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) process, which enhances the quality of the image and soundtrack to the huge IMAX 15/70 format. This marks the first time IMAX DMR has been used to re-master a film that was digitally captured and created. "

I hope it is at the Science Museum rather than the Zoo. The Sceince Museum is a nice facility. Very cool news.

    Hi All,
Just got an email from the Science Museum, no they will not have the AOTC there, they said it will be at the Zoo thetre (bah! oh well) they invited us to see the new Chimpanzee film that opens 10/17.....? maybe not.
I left a message at group sales at the Zoo Imax - the person is out of the office today. Would this be a Costumed? event
As soon as I know more I will post it.
    WOO Hoo

I just got a call from Kathy at the Zoo Imax and they're a go for AOTC on the 1st of November. Cost will be $10 (vs $11 regular) for a group of 20+ and we can pay as a group when we are there. They may even have a midnight show on Halloween and she says that costumes are fine. I did not make any promises - just called for the information.
    There WE are
    I CAN HARDLY WAIT

Great news. :) I knew this morning before even logging on and had already been working through someone at the Zoo.

I need to know Reb, Did you call representing us or just as yourself?

I just need to know if I need to back off before we look disorganized by having more than one person calling for us. I am certain I made it clear and my reasons for it in my meeting notes and Emails that I wanted all calls representing our group to go through me or the Event coordinator. It's not a huge problem but I am really trying to make our group act and be more organized. I need members to work with me on this if it's going to happen.

But it's cool. Just a in the future kind of thing. If you have someone your already talking too great. I was talking "through" someone so your one step ahead.

If you talk to them again, We need to know things like time tickets go on sale. If we can get advanced tickets. Can we make 100% sure all of our group gets in the night we go. We also need to make sure if guys/gals are going to be in armor they have someplace they can change. Access to someplace to store the stuff during the movie.. Stuff like that.

Did you already ask about that?

Send me a PM with all the info you got already that way we can work together on what exactly needs to be found out. :D

    Thanks. :)

Are there any other IMax theaters besides the Minnesota Zoo? If there are keep me posted we are going to go to my brothers new house in River Falls Wisconsion and maybe he and I could get a chance to see Clones the way it was ment to be seen in IMax

This would be fun to see there! Just state the date of the outing if it comes there. And if it will be a costumed event or not... I'm a ready Jedi. smile

At the meeting this weekend, the group decided Nov 1 evening show would work the best for the group. (midnight shows on a school/work night don't work for most).

More info as it is available.
