Events This Weekend

We have a jam-packed calendar, this month. Here are this weekend's events:

SATURDAY, 12-6
Spring Charity Putt-Putt Challenge
The Klingon Assault Group (KAG) is hosting it's usual putt-putt challenge against all Metro Atlanta sci-fi and fantasy clubs to benefit the Atlanta Food Bank.

36 holes and go cart ride, for $5.50 and canned food donations.

The club with the most canned food donations wins the glory. And you haven't lived until you've seen stormtroopers playing putt-putt golf. Show up to help feed the hungry, and have a great time!

Star Wars Book Club Meeting
This is the first of what we hope will be many book club meetings. Come along if you're a fan of the books, or just thinking about getting into them. All are welcome!
We'll be discussing "Remant."

We had tons of fun at the Putt-Putt challenge yesterday! As always, it is a real hoot to see Klingons driving go-karts.

I hope to send the pictures we took yesterday to red_rose soon so that she can get them posted on our website.

Hi! This is Sarah, Carol's daughter. I just wanted to say that I had a fantastic time at Malibu with ya'll this past weekend. That was the first fanclubby thing I'd ever done- thanks for making it such a great experience!

 

I'm very glad that you could join us, Sarah. And I'm also very glad that we didn't frighten you too badly.

It was very nice to meet you. I hope you will join us at another event soon.

 

You are a hoot, Sarah! I hope you come to more events before you head off to UGA Land.

I hope more people will try out the Book Club. Tracey and I had a great time, this past weekend.

 

While we don't have an "official" club activity, this weekend, a lot of club members will be attending Atlanta ComiCon at the Gwinnett Civic Center.

Hours are:
Friday 1-7
Saturday 10-6
Sunday 11-5

This month's meeting will not have the usual meeting stuff with it in order to get the group picture done for the Darth Vader FanForce World Tour. (A great shot was taken with our "local Vader" a couple weeks ago.)

We will meet outside of the main entrance of the World of Coke on Saturday,
April 19th, at noon. We'll take a few pictures there, and then perhaps move on
to another nearby landmark. After shooting pictures for a while, we may find a
place to have a late lunch.

The MARTA stop for this area is Little Five Points. There is also a parking garage across the street from Underground Atlanta.

Also, we will be collecting money for group tickets for Sci-Fi Summer and
Dragon*con. Group memberships are $10 for Sci-Fi summer, and $45 for Dragon*Con, as well as having brief announcements.

i was planning to be at the meeting until i heard here you guys are not going to be in the regular place the wife has a class in the area and savannah and i were going to be there.
