Everyone watches nascar?

I just found out one of my friends watches Nascar. And I asked him who watches Nascar? And he responds with "Everyone"

Who is everyone and why do they watch it? It's not a real sport

 

Matt Kenseth is my Second cousin and I don't watch it.

 

I don't think I know anybody who watches Nascar. But they might keep it secret.

Well this is Everybody. You could ask him if he watches.

There are a few of us over in The Arena who watch it.

In Charlotte it is huge with having a speedway here.

 

Not many people I know follow NASCAR, but that is just the group I hang out in. I know from market share studies, merchandizing, etc., that NASCAR is huge--a bigger, more lucritive enterprise probably even than Star Wars.

 

Nascar what's that?

 

It is a real sport

Not everyone can do it

and No..I don't watch it


I prefer Indycar and Formula One...where you actually have to TURN corners..

but those drivers....are athletes (Nascar included)

 

How are they athletes? Certainly they are skilled at driving, but that isn't athletic.

I watch it sometimes.

 

Well it requires upper body strength to be able to hold on and turn the wheel of a car going 190 mph for 5 or so hours. You have to have lung capacity in order to maintain your oxygen levels during those 5 or so hours in the car. Your legs have to be flexible and strong for shifting gears and hopefully not cramping up. It requires tremendous hand/eye coordination.

The object of racing around in a circle at speeds above 200 mph is kinda lame, but if you put a 9 year old kid in a pod racing at speeds over 900 mph now that is entertainment.

 

Driving 5 hours in a car isn't that demanding. I can do it at high speeds like it's nothing

 

Only Formula One.

 

Nascar is only exciting if there are crashes. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of cars going in a circle. Boring!

 

Your 'high speed' and professional racing 'high speed' are different. NASCAR drivers are athletes.

The closest I've got to watching NASCAR has been Talladega Nights.

Otherwise I'd rather watch Formula One.

 

Do you really think anyone knows who that is?

 

NASCAR drivers are not athletes, and NASCAR is not a sport.

 

NASCAR needs to be modified to have the drivers and the runners.

The runners avoid cars.

 

I don't watch or follow NASCAR.
