was a Jedi Knight who survived order 66 and was later founded by Darth Vader scared of being killed by the Sith Lord he then plunge his allgence to him and became a Dark Jedi for the Empire

Beyghor Sahdett, an Order 66 survivor that was later captured by the Empire and turned to the Dark Side by Palpatine.

Desann, a Chistori Jedi trained by Luke Skywalker, but eventually turned to the Dark Side and led the Reborn (a Dark Side cult). Technically, Desann didn't join the Empire, but for a time was one of the leaders and most influential people of the Imperial Remnant.

Very interesting thread!! I think Tremayne was the absolute template for a fallen Jedi becoming a Darksider, in this case an Inquisitor. Later it was retconned that Halmere, Lanu Pasiq (never heard from her again after the Evasive Action comic webstrips) and Gwellib ap Llewff were all originally Jedi. Laddinare Torbin wasn´t a Jedi, but was quite an important figure already by the Clone Wars (Director of Information of the Judicial Department, I think) and was basically a speaker for the Jedi Order before turning on them and hunting them down as Grand Inquisitor.

Jerec is quite possibly the strongest Jedi to turn to the Empire. From his band of 7 dark Jedi, I think Maw used to be a Jedi as well, but I don´t know really what official role those guys had beside Sariss, who looked to be basically Jerec´s unofficial apprentice (maybe they were all just that).

In canon, the Grand Inquisitor is the only one confirmed to share this background, but I believe it was implied that at least some (or most) of the other Inquisitors came indeed from the Order. I still have high hopes for the upcoming Darth Vader comic to shed new light about this...

 

ok good stuff, but are there any Dark siders that served the empire that you think may have been a former jedi

 

Ahhh interesting... well, all of those were Imperial darksiders in legends... now, if you mean Jedi that went to the dark side but didn´t serve the Empire, or they did in a kind of unofficial way, I think those are far rarer in both Canon and Legends. I suppose Kadann wasn´t really a part of the Empire, as Supreme Prophet of the Dark Side, but he was a collaborator. Same with Joruus C`Baoth, who wasn´t a Jedi, but a clone of one. He also served Palpatine in his own, twisted way. And then there were characters like Kharys, that were neither former Jedi nor Imperial Force Users, but that were trained in the Dark Side to further the plans of the Empire. Legends was really a wealth of Force users, I think they are very consciously avoiding going back to that in Canon; that´s why the Inquisitors are now such an important aspect of the Empire´s military. They just don´t have an equal of any sorts in canon...

 

no i mean a dark sider that work for the empire and who's backstory wasn't clear that you think may of been a jedi , also we can wait until the new Darth Vader comic comes out to see more of the Inquisitors
