Nebula Front. Assassination attempt on Senator Padme Amidala. Basically the whole Separatist movement. The Imperials blew up the Treitamma Political Center on Anchoron to frame Garm Bel-Iblis. That's just off the top of my head.
Lord Jerecs little Sulon stunt with Stormtroopers disguised as Rebels, including faked freighters and an AT-AT painted in Rebel colors and Commander Stroms faked X-Wing attacks, spring to mind. There is also the Empire trying to blame the Rebels for blowing up Alderaan, though that was more of a propaganda thing then a military operation.
In the Krytos Trap (Xwing #3), Kirtan Loor sends a fake Rogue Squadron to ambush and capture a bacta convoy in an attempt to turn the Coruscanti public against the New Republic, though the effort ultimately fails when Zsinj destroys the fake Rogues AND the bacta. I guess it wouldn't be terrorism since it's directed at a military target, but in Specter of the Past, Disra sends a bunch of Corellian ships to attack Pellaeon to try to make it look like Bel Iblis was (decidedly) declining to engage in peace talks.
Also, Navett's team in the Hand of Thrawn books do a certain amount of this. Particularly, in his first chapter, when he throws a Bith grenade into a Bothan building.
The best example, of course, is the insurrectionist elements claiming that the Empire destroyed Alderaan, when we all know that it was the result of Bail Organa's failed weapons experiments.
We also have the explanation in The Imperial Sourcebook of "Political Gain Operations" or "straw man" jobs assigned to Imperial Army special missions units - elite Imperial troops drop into a planet and begin terror strikes disguised as Rebels, causing the local government to ask for official Imperial assistance which results in a planetary takeover. The unit Jerec assigned to the attack on Sulon was probably one of these.
Indeed. I wish I posted more often, but TOR has been an irritating distracting. I say irritating because it frustrates me to no end to see Old Republic officers wearince Alliance-inspired uniforms. I suppose I can massage it away and say that's how they used to dress, and the Alliance was trying to evoke the classic Republic, but the Imperial-esque designs for the Sith uniforms makes no sense, as Imperial uniforms are based on Coruscanti business suits. Worse still is hearing my Republic ship use red lasers that go wat wat, just like an X-wing--that's so wrong! I'm convinced that the entire game is a Rebel propaganda stunt aimed at me. You had a hand in it, didn't you? It certainly feels like a trap!
But my trap was so artistically done. Joking aside, your complaints about TOR (especially making the Sith Empire basically a Galactic Empire ripoff with lightsabers) are the same ones I have! --Adm. Nick
Ah, but see.... here's the rub. We now know that Plagueis was using Sojourn to have big parties that included ancient Sith rituals. I now believe that Sith fashion was gradually infiltrated into Coruscanti business fashion... especially with the Sith's close connections to Galactic Commerce.

Given that Republicans were offended by Episode I because it reminded them too much of Truthers, even if it was released two years prior to 9/11 (So, funny aneurysm moment?), what do you think?
