No. The lifestyle's not conducive to it.

This is true. The closest I can think of is Beldorion, but there wasn't much he could do to avoid that.

    Beldorion

Of course, you can't say if there are any fat jedi. There have been over 1 billion jedi snce 25000 BBY, so whose to say one of them was a fat jedi?

You can't conclusively state that there couldn't have been any fat jedi, no. But, based on the strict training regimens, their commitment to being in top physical shape, would indicate that it would be a very, very low percentage of overweight Jedi, compared to the general galactic population. Their lifestyle is going to be more active than almost everyone else. In the case of Beldorion, he was a Hutt...genetically, there was nothing to be done about it. But, for virtually all bi-pedal humanoid type races, Jedi are going to be among the very fittest individuals you would find. Thus, as others have stated, their lifestyle is not conducive to obesity.

Except become ridiculously jacked, especially for a Hutt.
    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/a/ac/Beldorian_Leia_Duel_TEC.jpg]
    From the Wookieepedia:
"With the Force and Dzym's help, Beldorion remained strong and youthful, his body pure muscle, avoiding the corpulence and immobility of most Hutts his age. His body was significantly larger than that of a typical Hutt, stretching to nine meters in length, while a typical Hutt was rarely larger than three meters. Beldorion was quite spry, being able to slither around, whereas most Hutts preferred other, less exerting modes of travel. He wielded a purple lightsaber in combat."

Hard to believe no one's brought up Micah Giett yet, who's pretty much the only tubby Jedi we've seen. He wasn't fat, but he was a little pudgy.

Brand's physical shape is wide and round on account of his mostly antiquated prosthetics, not because he ate too many twinkies.

I'm sure they exist...they just don't get face time on recruiting posters or the movie roles.

honestly, I think they would be a general rarity, especially if they were behaving as good little Jedi and running errands for the council.

I could see rogue or grey jedi finding time to put on a few pounds...not putting in the ground work for Yoda probably saves a few calories.

I always had the impression that Raynar started off as the "fat kid" who didn't play ball with the cool kids but rather stayed home eating chocolate from his father's factory...

Oh, and then there's the Comic Book Guy dressed as a Jedi at a SW premiere!

EDIT: BTW, are there fat Mandalorians or Stormtroopers? :p

"Realistically", if you were to consider the key years of the Empire, and with Jedi possibly trying to stay out of sight, some could've potentially put on some "weight", either through an attempt to maybe disguise their appearance, or maybe even because lack of contact with the Force, and lack of general activity, could've made them a bit... um... "plush". ;)

Guiness-Obi-Wan actually looks a bit more, well, "plushed" than McGregor-Obi-Wan, so...

That really depends on who's writing the story, you know... o_O

General Hoth & his ghost Jedi friend that's not a horse in the Darth Bane book, both of them were described at being fat fatties, I'm sure. Or at least very pudgy which is wierd considering they were fighting in a long drawn out war of attrition so it must of been hard to find time to munch on hoe cakes while fighting off wave after wave of Sith soldiers.

Well originally, Dante and Randal worked in the PT Jedi Temple before being stationed on the Death Stars and perishing during the Battle of Endor. Then Saxton, in the New Essential Guide to Small Business Owners, goofed up and had them working in the post RotJ Jedi Temple. They were retconned to have survived the Battle of Endor and taken up with the Jedi Temple again after the NJO.

That retcon was long in coming, IMO, seeing as how the only reason they were written to have been stationed on the DSII was because of the political discussion they have - the one about all the guys like them that perished in the battle - decades later after they move to New Jersey in Darksaber.

As far as Jay and Silent Bob, go, they just follow Dante and Randal everywhere they go due to the whole "life debt" thing. Speaking of which, the Wook says Dante and Randal saved Jay and Silent Bob from a pair of angels, but I don't recall the group ever going to Iego. Can I get a source on this or is it fanon?
