Is there going to be a second edition of this because Ray the Firefly is the hero we don't deserve but also need right now.

    Wrong era :p

But there is a dragonfly in The Rescuers, with Bernard and Bianca:

I know it's the wrong era which is precisely why I asked if there would be a second edition that doesn't limit options. The greatest Disney animated hero didn't debut until the early 2000s.

As the guy who wrote a Robin Hood book, is writing a second book, and scattered a bunch of Robin Hood stuff around this forum a couple of months ago…

…I still want to say that the 1973 version of the character is still a definitive take on the character, along with Errol Flynn and Michael Praed.

The Disney Robin Hood’s (this one and the live action one played by a Richard Todd in the 50s) are arguably the premier ones for capturing the idea of Robin as a romantic, mischievous, but ultimately still dramatic character - a bit of a trickster archetype, but with a still genuinely righteous bent, quick to smile but also with some hidden grit to him, especially when faced with death.

This is part 2, going through the timeline, with the link to the previous poll. I’ll keep going until I get to all movies, like with the similar poll on villains. I think you saying “edition” just threw me off.

Agreed. Happily saw the Disney Robin Hood at the movies. Still one of my favorite Disney films and Robin Hood (Along with Errol Flynn.)

Also, super cool you wrote a book about Robin Hood.
