For me: Aladdin, Jasmine, Belle, Pocahontas, Tod and Copper. Aladdin and Jasmine just seem more "alive" to me than most other protagonists that came before. They have personalities, they're not just doe-eyed dreamers. They're colorful, interesting, and still heroic. Belle is just able to see the good in unlikely places, and is a fellow bookworm. Many others think she is "weird," or only view her a beautiful. Others don't see what's below the surface for her, so she is able to see that for others. Pocahontas is just a strong protagonist. Headstrong, able to tell both sides they're wrong and try for peace, curious and friendly but you feel she would slit someone's throat in a heartbeat if she had to. Tod and Copper... that movie makes me cry over their friendship. If you can get a response like that, there's no way I can honestly not put them in my top 5, they deserve to be together.
Simba and Aladdin are the predictable choices I have from the Renaissance proper… but I’ve also got to give it to Basil, Dawson, and Olivia for the ambiguous kickoff of the Renaissance/prelude to it.
