Whats the most fondly remembered toy you got to unwrap on Christmas Morning?

Mine was the Imperial Troop Transporter, you know the one that made all the sounds and did the C3PO and R2D2 voices? :D

Here's a picture as it appeared in Marvel: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/f1/9trooptransporter.JPG

Unfortuanatly mine is in storage and in pretty bad shape from the many childhood Star Wars it took part in:p Maybe I'll dig it out on christmas day at my parents and see if the sound effects still function! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Life Day to all!

I remember opening up the Millennium Falcon on Christmas morning in 1981, and a couple years later getting the Y-Wing Fighter, and having it buzz my sister's Barbie Penthouse playset.

It was Christmas 78 I got the Falcon, the Cantina Playset, and the Death Star Playset. My birthay was two months earlier and I got the X-Wing, a TIE Fighter, and the playset with the Sandcrawler backdrop.

And figures. Lots of figures. :D

Ahhhhh, good old late 70's/early 80's Marvel.

Wow, so tough to choose, but I think I'll go with Christmas 1981 and my AT-AT. When we got it out of the box my Grandma said "It looks like a dog skeleton!" [face_laugh].

Jeez, I hate to be the young guy around here, but Christmas of 95 I got wave 1 and the landspeeder and the X-wing. I was 10 or 11 and it was possibly the best Christmas ever.

Another late response... but mine was the original Death Star set. One Christmas morning I came out to find the Death Star set and several figures/vehicles including the Storm Trooper carrier, a dewback, etc. Man... it was like walking into a toy store.

I loved the original SW line.

I'm the youngest here, but four years ago, I got that older Millineum Falcon that was impossibly bulky, and had the removable aft roof to show the lounge with the Quadlasers and drop down ramp and pullout landing gear and 4 built in sound effects... BEST CHRISTMAS. EVER.

back in the early 80's for me it was the speeder bike and Jabbas playset I was like ten or so. i got them both the same year. Then in High School, my brother got me the trilogy on VHS just so i would stop renting them from the video store. Then later on when the pepsi r2 coolers were at 7-11 and my wife worked there. one of her managers gave her one for me and she told me that was an early christmas gift. so over the years i have gotten a few things that i love and enjoy.

Christmas 81...I'd opened all my presents and was quite happy but a little disappointed that a certain space freighter wasn't among them. Next thing I know my parents bring on in this huge Barbie penthouse set (for my Sister) with four floors..the third floor was hidden from view by some strategically placed wrapping paper, which was then lifted up to reveal....THE MILLENNIUM FALCON!!..Cue squeals of delight from me and sis. Great days....
