I am sure this has been discussed before, so I am sorry, but does anyone know why Boba Fett has a picture of a Taun-Taun skull on his sleve?

Actually, the idea now is that it's supposed to be a Reek skull, I think, which would have a little more symbolism for the Fettster.

He does? Really? I've never noticed. Where (on his sleeve that is)?

When I first read this rather quickly, I thought it said "Taun-We's skull on his sleeve." That brought up all sorts of images as to how she died.

It's unknown what it is. It's just a symbol so far.

This is the skull. I've heard it was a Mandalore skull but I don't know of anything confirmed.

The Madalorian warriors were human, so I don't think that's it. I know that is the Madalorian insignia, but I don't know if it meant to be a specific type of skull.

According to EU sources, it is a Bantha skull. Boba's armor belonged to Jaster Mereel, and the bantha skull was his regimental symbol.

Mon Mothma: One Bothan died to make this symbol.

Didn't Jango have the same insignia on his shoulder?

Yeah, in the EU, Jango served in Jaster's unit, which is why he has the symbol too.

I dunno why Boba would go to Hoth anyway. He's not hired until after the evacuation.

Well, if it is a taun taun skull, it's possible that taun tauns like humans are indigenous to many planets.

Well, I do like the theory that its a Reek Skull, that'd be great... But of course, since it was created befor the PT... its not...

And if Jango had it on his armor...

Well I guess its not a Reek... But I can pretend!!

Goodfellas, remember...its all probable that Fett had been chasing Solo long before the empire recruited him to do so.

Another question, as I'm not a big EU fan...I read once that Fett's armor was Mandalorian battle armor, but he was never in the unit...that the armor had come from a victim of his or something like that.

    Any feedback?

The armor that Fett wore in the OT once belonged to Jaster Mereel, Jango's mentor.

Following Jaster's death, Jango stored the armor aboard his ship. When Boba inherited Slave I after Jango's death, it was there for his use. Also in the EU, in 'Boba Fett: The Fight to Survive', when Boba buries Jango on Geonosis, he hides Jango's armor in a cave nearby since he is too small to wear it or carry it. He keeps Jango's helmet for the databank information stored in it. So far in the series he has not returned for Jango's armor.

Teh EU........LOL. What will they come up with next?

Plain and simply, according to GL, Boba wears Jango's armor when he grows into it. That's why Jango bumps his head and dents the helmet and then Boba's helmet has the dent. BTW that whole denting the helmet thing is rather silly if you think about it.... :p

Jango's helmet's dent is in a completely different place from Boba's dent. They are not the same helmet. All you have to do is watch the movies and you'll see.
