    Trailer

This is a surprisingly awesome film about the domestication of zombies following a horrific zombie war--set in a McCarthyistic/propaganda driven 1950's alternate world.

Billy Connolly stars as Fido the zombie alongside Carrie-Anne Moss and Dylan Baker (as Timmy's parents).

"Timmy Robinson's best friend in the whole wide world is a six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido. But when FIDO eats the next-door neighbor, Mom and Dad hit the roof, and Timmy has to go to the ends of the earth to keep Fido a part of the family. A boy-and-his-dog movie for grown ups, "FIDO" will rip your heart out." (From IMDB)

Check it out if you haven't already.

Just when you thought the very last drop of blood had been drained from the corpse of the zombie genre...

No kidding, though I rather like Connolly.

This is why I state that the film is "surprisingly" good. Connolly is almost always a joy to watch.

This is also a wonderfully dark film:

"I know you're not supposed to have a hand gun until you're twelve...don't forget the bullets!"

Look for things such as certain censorship laws coming into play in the film. This film is set in the 1950's and as such--1950's film laws often apply to various aspects of the piece.

Zombie satire is often great fun..."Shaun of the Dead" comes to mind.

Wonderful film. I worry though--I don't believe we should mock the impending zombie apocalypse too much. We must be ready.

Stock your shelves with plenty of these:
