Help me. :( I think my character with the highest amount of health is Auron, with a little over 3000 HP. I think I'm pretty much going into this thing doomed. But I have stayed on the mountain for hours fighting, in order to level up, and it's just not happenin'.

Is there some secret to killing this guy? He keeps using Mortibody to do that stupid Full-Life thing, and I'm struggling to keep my guys alive while at the same time trying to get a hit in on him. And after about, oh, 5 turns, he does cross-cleave, and that, my friends, is the end for me. NONE of my party can survive it.

Does ANYONE know of an easy way to beat him?

This fight's not easy. I think you'll need more HP.

Best to get Zombie Ward armour to stop that annoying full-life death. Bouncing it back with reflect will damage him, IIRC.

He has patterns; if you find them you might be able to work out how to break them. For example, the first part:
    Lance
    Full Life
    Lance
    Full life
    Dispel
    Cross Cleave
So you bring in Wakka to silence him just before the dispel, then Defend to reduce the Cross Cleave damage.

Look out in the final part of the battle, because they'll start with Total Annihilations, which will likely kill you with your low HP.

Hey, thanks for the info. I didn't know there was a way to defend against full-life.

Is there a quick way to get the armor from where I'm at in the game?

THere may be, but i was able to develop a nastier strategy agasint Seymour Flux and he didnt even get more than two turns off I had Yuna get all her Aeons into Overdrive, and had Tidus cast Hastega, and with that used everyone of her Overdriven Aeons. That usually helped me beat Seymour in submission

I'm not sure; probably best to customise it. I'm not sure what goes into making a Zombie Ward armour though.

You could use Yojimbo and throw all your gil at him too and hope for Zanmato.

About half way though the ice canyon will be a guy selling items. He is related to Oaka who has been imprisioned for helping you. More importantly he sells Holy potions which can be used by Rikku to put Zombie Ward on your armor. This will help with the Lance/Full life attack he does. Another stratagy is to make sure all of your characters and Yuna's aeons have their overdrive abilitys up. If you're quick you can burn him down before his total annilation attack hits.

Yes, Zombie Ward is a really, really good thing to have on your equipment later in the game. But I recommend not having it on all your characters when you get to the Zanarkand final boss, for reasons you'll see when you fight it.

The most basic advice I have is to make sure all your aeons are on overdrive when summoned. You only get one shot with them in this battle, so make sure it counts.

Also, try to get Lulu to caste Bio on him at the very start of the battle.
