Just read the review of Republic #77, and I'm a bit confused by this statement:
Now that Quin is back to being a Jedi after working "undercover" for so long, he seems to accept his next mission as a General on the planet Boz Pity ... It's kind of ironic that Quin reveals so much about his plans to quit the Jedi Order after the Clone Wars and to go raise a child with Khaleen somewhere, since we all know how his next battle will turn out.
I don't remember seeing Vos die in ROTS, nor do I remember reading about him dying. Has he definitely been killed, or is his status still up in the air?

He "died" in the comic version of ROTS but I seem to remember him coming back in an upcoming thing.

He's apparently killed in the RotS comic adaptation. He's standing on something, and a Clone commanded vehicle blows it up.

But according to the latest comic cover of Republic, he might have survived based on how torn and burned his clothes look. My guess is that his creators want to give him one last hurrah.

And if you've read the RotS script, there is a scene (which was cut from the film, of course)where it shows Quinlan die. I hope they add the scene in the DVD.

Quinlan at least survived the Juggernaut ordeal on Kashyyyk. Weather or not he lives much longer is still up in the air.

I'm still hoping that he'll survive, hook up with Kahleen again, and have a kid with her. then they'll change their names of course to Jade. Then the Emporer/Vader will find them andkill them, but spare their daughter Mara to train as one of the Emporer's Hands.

ithorian-guy, the Vos scene was never even filmed, so I really doubt it'll be on the DVD.

More in this Hyperspace Set Diary: http://www.starwars.com/hyperspace/member/episode-iii/bts/setdiary/news20050627.html

Here's a summary for those without HS access:

Animatics were made of the scene, but Vos was never cast nor filmed. Costume Archivist and Supervisor Gillian Libbert started putting together a costume folder -- including fabric swatches -- and Pablo helped collect reference images from the comics. Libbert wanted to recommend Michael Mooney, the Assistant Costume Designer, to play this non-speaking role.

From the script, Vos was riding on top of a turbotank and another turbotank blasts him away, just as in the comic adaptation.

Intriguingly, Pablo also tells us that Tsui Choi (the little Jedi from Ratts Tyerell's species, the Aleena) nearly made it onto the Council. That woulda been awesome, since I really dig this character (from Jedi Council: Acts of War (2000), Republic #50, and Jedi: Dooku).

Quin and Kathleen both have dark hair how could Mara be their child if she has red-gold hair though i like to believe that it's possible for them to be her parents then there would be a backstory on her connecting it to the purge.

Khaleen has purple hair. I'm thinking it's died.

Anyway, I hope to God Jade isn't their daughter. The galaxy's too big a place for so many convenient coincidences.

Although, to be fair, I still think it'd be great for her to be Kenobi's daughter.

    I hate it.

It ruins the idea of Mara being largely able to stand on her.

And quite frankly, Quinlan and Khaleen are characters that stand on their own.

They'd all three be diminished by such a retcon.

Then again, I really really really hate Khaleen as a manipulative lying wench who helped ruin Vos' life.

It does. Both Kenobi and Tachi have red hair, and Tachi dies only a year prior to the end of the war-- so Mara's a couple years older than Luke, then.

Of course, Palpatine has red hair as well...

It would make sense, yep. I'd sumbit that Isard's her mother.

On topic, Quin survives Order 66 in Republic #83.

At least for a time. We'll see what happens.

I have mixed reactions about this, which I won't delve into here due to spoilers.

In my dreams Quin survives all the dangers during the Republic issues...

Because he's gonnna be the leading member of the Jedi Resistance on the TV Series...

    But that's just me...

Ah, yes. I'd heard that but only had a vague recall of it. Which is why I was so confused by the writeup of Republic #77. Completely answers my original question. Thanks.

He very well might. All we know as of right now is that he survives the initiall explosion of the HAVw A6 he's standing on, not what happens later in the comic.

Although it'd be a bit pointless for the authors to make him survive the explosion, and then kill him shortly thereafter.

Yeah, fair point, but wouldn't his death be more meaning full if he went out saving thoughs he loves, we know from the synopsis that if he runs he's putting them in danger. A self sacraficing last stand would be a much better death then blown up like a chump on a tank
    Here's hoping he survives.

He did meet Han Solo in a SW tales comic.

    Though they're not very reliable.

And if you've read the RotS script, there is a scene (which was cut from the film, of course)where it shows Quinlan die.

From what I was reading today, Lucas wanted to do that scene but it supposedly never got filmed. Be great, though, if Lucas either actually did film it with intention of making it a bonus on the DVD and then claimed it never got filmed so as to keep it a secret or else he went back and filmed it after it was too late to get it into the movie in time for the theatrical release so that it could be a DVD bonus.

As for the Tales issue with Han and Quinlan, two things. One, that was still during all Tales stories being Infinities so unless it's referenced somewhere else it's not supposed to have happened. And two, it seemed just as likely that it was actually Quinlan's ghost who was helping Han.

He does have some more to his story. Mere clones aren't enough to do the Vos in. The final fate of Quinlan Vos will ultimately be one of redemption. However, as he's got too much dark side "blood" on his hands, it'll be in the form of some "tough love," traditional Anakin Skywalker sort of redemption.

And we will have Vos, Jr. to carry on his memory.
