Find "Tatooine" on Google Maps.

I hope it's okay to post a link here, but everyone has probably been here anyway: Google Maps.

Type in "Star Wars' Mos Eisley" and it actually will bring you to the place in Tunisia where they shot Star Wars! Click on "Satellite" or "Hybrid" view. Matmata is the town.

I have not actually been able to pinpoint exact set-locations, such as the homestead and such. Maybe we can all work together to find them.

This is way cool.

EDIT: Okay, I think you have to zoom in on Tunisia and the Matmata area before the "Star Wars' Mos Eisley" thing will work. But give it a try.

You could even look up ESB shooting locations in Norway. Of course, it would just be a pile of snow.

 

Hey, don't mock Norway - there isn't ALWAYS snow there If I'm not mistaken, you could try to type in Finsnes, which, I believe, is the place in Norway they shot the scenes in ESB - I'll try it someday

 

I tried it, the Tatooine thing works. Pretty nice, I have to admit. Of the Matmata, it does not really look anything out of the ordinary... Nice still.

 

Totally off topic, but Matmata (where they filmed Mos Eisley) is a level on Call of Duty 2!

Hey, that is cool. I've been a Medal of Honor guy myself.

I'm hoping one of you could find the Beru homestead on the map. That "hole" they lived in is a real place.

You have to zoom-in on Tunisia first, so that its cities and towns show up.
