Fish & Chips: With or without salt and vinegar?

Gives it a good flavour, though I rarely have vinegar.

With, but be careful you don't put the vinegar on first. if you do, the salt sticks to the chips at the top of the bag, and the chips at the bottom are all the blander for it.

So, salt - then some vinegar - then MORE salt.

Me neither Rambles don't eat fish because I'm vegetarian and can't eat chips because they make me ill

Yey, Nic, for firstly been a proper vegetarian. I am not, I like meat, but I get annoyed at people who say they are veggie and then say they eat fish....what the hell? Fish is just as much meat as the cow or pig, it's living, what the hell are you people talking about? If you are going to do something, do it properly for christs sake!

Second yey for you not liking chips. Why must it be assumed that everyone likes chips? They are tasteless, although I eat them in pub lunches but I smoother them in dangerous levels of salt, it is the only way they can be edible. So many condiments on them you might as well just bring me a burger with a side order of salt, pepper, vinger, ketchup and brown sauce. (I do actually mean that I put huge loads of salt, my heart must hate pub meals)

 

Just salt for me, vinegar = yuck.
