I've never been able to figure out how it works.

For some reason, it takes a while to 'warm up' for me.

The first few are rarely correct, and then it starts getting them right.

The first few are rarely correct, and then it starts getting them right.

If that's true, you need to study arithmetic a little harder. Because you aren't adding and subtracting right.

It didn't work for me, I did 8-2 and then I got 6, it gave me a different sign than my answer was. :(

Did you read the directions? If you did 82, then your final answer would be 72.

    Mathematical SPOILERS!

Let the positive integers (greater than zero) m,n signify the digits in any two-digit positive integer.

The two digit integer can be expressed by

    m*10 + n*1 (1)

The sum of these two digits is

    m+n (2)

The difference between (1) and (2) is

    (10*m+n)-(m+n) = (10*m-m)+(n-n) = 9m (3)

Since m is a positive integer greater than zero, difference between the any two digit number and the sum of the digits is a multiple of 9.

Notice that every number that is a multiple of nine on the list has the same symbol
