Does anyone have a sound effect for a "flashback" if you could share it i would be much appreciative.

Have looked all over, the ones on sounddogs aren't really what im looking for and i have a copy of the LOST flashback but dont really want to steal that.

    Thanks

What kind of sound are you looking for? Just some kind of cliche flashback sound?

I'm sure Wayne's World has what you're looking for.

Nah, not a Waynes World, wobbly comedic sort of flashback.

I mean proper flashback sound. Sort of like the LOST one but dont want to use that exact one.

    Any help?

I'm also looking for a similar sound effect.
I've searched the internet, high and low, and I've been left empty-handed.
The Bourne films have the best "flashback" sound effects so we're after something along those lines...

Check SoundRangers; they have a section called Whooshes, Transitions that has quite a few sounds that could go along with a flashback. I don't watch Lost so I can't tell you if they have the exact sound you're looking for, but I bet you'll find something.

    http://soundrangers.com/sound-categories.cfm?cat_template=sound

They offer some nice flash previews, and they're only a couple bucks/sound.

Yep, the Bourne movies have the best. I believed i was the only one thinking that.
And we will try to make our own flashback sounds effect. Those are really important. But no idea how?

take the last half of a thunder recording, make a duplicate, flip the duplicate backwards, and put it before the normal one.

Pretty awesome idea. Did you come up with that yourself? It works pretty well:

    Try a backwards crash cymbal.

i find you can make a lot of good sounds that way. instead of a thunder sound, use a sword clash to make a ringing sword swing sound.

What is that sound in Transformers... I can only think of two instances they use it.

    "I'm thinking... a solid B-."
    [Shia's face drops]
    [Sound]

"So what do you two kids know about aliens, huh?"
    [Shia looks freaked]
    [Sound]

Playing around with that one might produce some results.
