I am thinking of buying the TIE Fighter game from gog.com (https://www.gog.com/game/star_wars_tie_fighter_special_edition), and will probably end up getting around to playing the X-Wing games from the series eventually as well. I was looking into getting a flight yoke controller (such as the Saitek Pro Flight or the CH Eclipse) because it seems to be a more realistic way of playing the game than using a joystick. after all, the TIE and X-Wing controllers in-universe use a two handed yoke control in their cockpits. but i was wondering if these were even compatible with the game? i don't want to spend a lot of money on something that wouldn't even work. has anyone played games from the X-Wing series with a flight yoke?
Okay, let me put this another way... can the controls in TIE Fighter etc be easily modified depending on what joystick/flight-yoke/etc you're using?
