Flowers in Star Wars?

Can you guys help me out with giving me the names of types of flowes in Star Wars? i really appreciate all your help!

Hmm... well, I only know of one from the Courtship of Princess Leia; it was described as a "violet, trumpet-shaped flower" from Alderaan. Here's an exerpt from the book:

"'This is an arallute,' Leia said. 'Folktales said that if a new bride found one growing in her yard, it was a sign that she would soon have a child. Of course, the bride's mother and sisters always made it a point to plant an arallute in the newlyweds' lawn after the wedding, and of course they had to do it at night. It was considered bad luck to get caught.'... 'When it dries,' Leia said, 'the petals fold in and the seeds get trapped in the dry flower. Mothers then give the dry flower to their babies to use as rattles.'"

I use several flowers in my Fanfic, your welcome to use them if you wish.


Flowers from Naboo:
-Jusa roots: Violet vines that grow on and around many of theed's structures.
-Oppim bloosums: a flower that bloosums once very week at sunrise, reflecting the colors from the nubian sun onto it's own pellates.
-Crystal grass: trasnpariant flowers that often grown around lakes.
-Timseng Rose:Roses that grow best with the natural warmth of body heat,"Timseng" Meaning;Lover in Nubian.

you see...one of the characters in my fic, he brings flowers to his girlfriend (another character in my fic) for her birthday...

 

I guess the wedding flower wouldn't work then . . .

I used Ithorian Thira blossoms in a story once. Basically Tiger-lillies.

 

ooh, i might just use that, TSM! especially since they (the two characters) met at Ithor!


what do Ithorian Thira blossoms look like? i don't remember what tiger lillies look like either, so could use please describe them while i attempt to make myself feel less stupid?


BTW, have you guessed who the two characters are? TSM, you should know this by now...especially since it's me...

 

Your sig gives it away.

They have pointed petals. The petals are bright orange with black, elongated spots (not stripes!) on them. The flowers are pretty large and grown on tall stalks. I'll see if I can find a pic . . .

Jaina, what fic is this for? I don't normally read J/J stuff, but I might make an exception just this once . . .

 

I have a game called the gungan frontier its for kids in which they have to rebuild the gungan ecology, there are a number of naboo plants and animals with pictures and descriptions of them. I will look into it and let you know. That is if your interested in NAboo plants.

While playing it with my little cousin I remember a pink fragrant flower from alderaan mentioned but I don't remember the name.

 

i got Destiny's Way and they have several flowers mentioned there, so i'm going to put them up:

rainbow colored fungi (Bakura)
lofty yellow Pydyrian blossoms

ok, so there were less than i thought. anyways, the descriptions and all were taken directly from DW...



TSM: it's for a sequel to a fic...the fic isn't finished yet, but my computer's acting screwy, so i'm writing it out...anyways, i just wanted to know so that i could write the sequel...it is J/J and hasn't been posted yet...

This prtty ground cover flower has a scent so sweet it is believed to sooth a rancour.
Small pink color flowers growing in clumps.


Till flower,
Beautiful, light yellow and golden flower which is a native of Alderaan. It is highly prized for its wonderful smell and asthetic values.

Both these flowers grow on NAboo.
