The date was August 10, 2010 of the Holy Imperial Calender, the Holy Britainian Empire had declared war upon Japan. The Far East Island Nation had held fast to its neutrality and now Britannia looms as the world's only Superpower. Rights to Japan's underground resources became a hotly disputed issue straining the already deeply diplomatic issues between the two sides. In the deciding battle for the mainland, Britannian Forces introduced the Humanoid Autonomous Armored Knight known as the Knightmare Frame, the enemy's forces were far greater than anticipated, and the Knightmares obliterated the Japanese Line of Defense on the mainland with little effort. Japan became a dominion of the Empire, the country was stripped of its freedom, its rights, and its name. Area 11, the defeated and once proud nation of Japan was rechristened with a mere number.

However, one boy swore revenge on Britannia. The former Crowned Prince of Britannia, Lelouch vi Britannia, swore revenge on Britannia for it's conquering of Japan...and the death of his mother and blinding and crippling of his sister, Nunally, by noblemen of Britannia. To achieve this goal, he made a contract with the mysterious and beautiful CC to gain the Geass of Command, and became Zero, the leader of the Japanese Resistance Group, the Black Knights, and began to wage his war of destroying Britannia. However...a wrench will now be thrown into the entire world's plans...

Prologue Chapter 1: Invasion of Earth
    Sol System
It had been two months since the discovery of the system by Imperial Explorers, which noted the abuncance of resources on most of the worlds. The only inhabitable planet caused an uproar in the Senate, its strange new resources would be able to power starships and hyperdrives more efficiently than hypermatter. Had this been the Old Republic, an official First Contact mission would have been launched. However, this was the Galactic Empire, where such...trivialities were overlooked. A full Imperial Fleet was launched to conquer the world in the name of Emperor Palpatine.

Fourty Imperial I-class Star Destroyers dropped out of hyperspace with nearly a 1000 smaller support ships began to approach the world. To the natives, it was called Earth and was divided into three powers, the Holy Britannian Empire, the Chinese Federation, and the Euro Universe. All vied for control of the planet, but now...they had a bigger problem on their hands.

On the flagship, the Devestator, his lord Darth Vader stood on the bridge, issuing commands. A map of the world was being represented on hologram, where there were several places marked for landing zones: Area 11, the Hidden City, London, Paris, and the Britannian Capital, Pendaran on the North American Continent were marked to name a few.

"We need to conquer these areas with as much haste as possible," Darth Vader said to the Generals and Admirals, some in holograms, around the conference table. "The first has the most deposites of this mineral that we've learned about, and from the transmissions we have intercepted, these are the capitals of this planet. Once they fall, it'll be easier to conquer the rest of the world."

"Understood, Lord Vader," his generals and admirals said. "Should we prepare a volley of turbolaser fire to soften their defenses?"

"No. We do not know the effects that our heavy weapons'll cause to the mineral," Vader replied as they approached Earth. "General Veers, prepare your men. You land in two hours."

"Yes, Lord Vader," Veers said and his holographic image flickered and vanished as he went to report to his Walker.

"Once a beachfront is established in these worlds, we will be launching strikes from the air with our fighters," Vader said as he walked to get out of the conference room. "As you know, the penalty will be severe if the mission is a failure."

"Yes, lord Vader," the Generals and Admirals said before their images faded or they went to get ready.

Darth Vader walked into the bridge, and marched towards the windows to survey the plane

Okay, not bad. :) Limited by my limited knowledge of Geass, but still interesting. ;) Earth's lucky Vader's being cautious here. Otherwise kaboom!

    Chapter 2: Overrun
    Area 11, Tokyo District
Cornellia gritted her teeth as several of her unit were being pushed back or destroyed by the advancing two legged walkers. The two-legged walkers had heavy forward firepower, but their armor seemed nearly paper thin however. Few rounds from their rifles or a full on charge with their lances or their slash harkens, extending blades that shot out of their shoulders, was enough to destroy a leg or the cockpit. However, the much larger, four legged walkers were completely invulnerable to their attacks. Missiles, concentrated fire, even attacks on the legs were completely useless. The infantry in white armor even set up heavy artillery and anti-infantry weaponry that was made out of pure energy.

Red bolts of plasma peppered her Gloucester's armored as she zoomed forward with her unit, firing rapidly. She slammed her lance into a two-legged walker before she zoomed out, avoiding blasts from what looked like grenade launchers fired from another one. Spinning, she lifted her Knightmare's rifle and shot three bullets into the two-legged walkers cockpit, destroying it. Cornellia kept glancing at the computer screen, which showed Britiannian Units being destroyed in the sky and on the ground by the enemy forces. Warning lights then flared in her cockpit and she moved as a huge red blast slammed into her lance arm.

"Princess Cornellia!" her knight, Gilbert Guilford cried out as he rushed to his princess's side.

"Fall...back..." Cornellia ordered as she stablized herself. Her Knightmare's arm was sparking and smoke was rising off of it. "Tell our forces...to fall back...we need to get into defensive positions!"

"Yes, Princess Cornelia," Guilford said as he ignored the small trail of blood trickling down his forehead from an earlier part of the battle.

At the Ashford Academy, the sights of the battle were becoming clearly scene. Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, Shirley, Milly, Nina, Rivalz, and Nunally were watching the smoke rise, seeing the fires rage in the distance around the humongous triangle craft. The sounds of explosions were also heard and above them there was this shrieking whine.

Lelouch was holding his breath and he looked up as several bow-tie craft, that made that shrieking whine dogfighted with the Britannian Airforce. The jets were being shot out of the sky as their missiles and guns kept missing the nimble bow-tie fighters, which looped, flipped, or rolled onto their tails and blasted the jets out of the sky with their green lasers. Lelouch then noticed...a formation of fatter looking bow-tie craft, instead of one ball in the middle, there were two and the 'wings' were smaller and were bent. Said ships were going to a low altitude...and started dropping glowing white bombs. They were coming straight for the Academy!

"Everyone, get down! Get under something!" Lelouch ordered as, on instinct, he pulled Kallen and Shriley back while Suzaku pulled Milly and Nina and Rivalz pulled Nunally out of the way from the windows. The howling shriek of the bombers was heard and a white flash outside the windows completely blew out the windows. Nunally cried out in fear at the sound, covering her sensitive ears as her brother moved over to her. This is total war...whoever we're fighting...they're going for terror bombing to cull the populace...the Britannian Army should still be following...and I...

He looked up to see Suzaku getting up. "I have to get to my unit...there must be something I can do!"

"Are you crazy Suzaku? There's no chance that'd you even get to your Knightmare with all this happening!" Rivalz yelled as another huge explosion rocked the school.

If Suzaku got to the Lancelot...and if Kallen got to her Guren Mk. II...there could be a chance to defend the school...probably help drive back whoever these invaders are... Lelouch thought as another explosion made him cover Nunally's body more. But I'd risk...giving away my identity as Zero

    Very nice,

I'm a huge fan of Code Geass and this is an excellent crossover idea. I personally enjoy any fanfiction where Lelouch lives and that's why I prefer the manga to the mainline series. The idea of combing Star Wars and Code Geass never occurred to me before but I am going to anxiously watch the development of this series.

    Thanks!

Charlemange19: Thanks, I really hope you like this fic and this chapter. I'll add you to my PM list.

RK Striker JK5: Yep, and its about to get even more action packed.

Oh, by the way, this chapter I had help with from my friend Lightsnake.

    Chapter 3: An Empire Folds
    Japan/Area 11, Ashford Academy
At Ashford Academy, the student council finally reached the PA room as TIE Bombers continued to drop bombs all over the campus and all over the Tokyo Settlement. Milly got up onto the desk, shielding her eyes from another explosion as she turned on the microphone. She cleared her throat, the smoke had begun to parch it, and the Student Council President wished she had some water to clear it.

"Attention, everyone!" Milly started, taking command of the situation. "I need everyone to get to the bomb shelters located under the dormitories! Do not panic, go there in an orderly fashion! NOW!"

All over the school, the surviving students crawled quietly to the dormitories. Lelouch watched from the window, hoping that everyone got there safely. More explosions followed but the surviving students were lucky, able to avoid them as they headed to the dormitories. The former Britannian Prince-now Resistance Leader Zero, looked up to the flying TIE Bombers, vowing to bring down their attackers.

"Good work, Pres..." Lelouch covered his eyes as another explosion hit and he saw white-armored soldiers on the horizon coming to the Academy. "Suzaku, Kallen, we have to leave now. Prez, get Nunally, Shirley, Rivalz, and Nina to the bomb shelters and stay safe."

Milly nodded. "I'll keep everyone safe, Lelouch. You can count on it!"

Lelouch smiled. "I knew you'd never let me down. Now go!"

The former Prince turned to Suzaku and Kallen, giving a nod indicating they had to get moving. Both nodded in response and they crawled out of the room. They dodged broken glass and kept their heads down, so they wouldn't enhale the smoke. When they finally reached the door to the lobby, they ran out of the building, passing fires and corpses of the unlucky students who were caught in the bombing.

Lelouch lifted out his cellphone and attempted to contact the Black Knights. "Anyone, can you hear me? Zero here!"

Static started to greet him and then a voice...it was Ohgi. "Z...ero? Y...u're still alive?"

It's...rough here, Zero...the large...four legged walkers-there are 12 of them surrounding our hideout. Tohdoh...he's doing his best but even with the Akatsuki units, we aren't doing well."

Lelouch frowns, thinking. "Can you spot any weaknesses in the large four legged walkers? Any at all?"

"Tohdoh is working on it, Zero...come soon... we don't know how long we can hold out!"

"I will not let the Black Knights fall!" Lelouch yells in answer and he signed out and he looked at Suzaku. "Where is the Lancelot being kept, is it close by?"

Suzaku nodded. "Just a short distance west.."

"Lead the way," Lelouch said as they moved.

They ran west, following Suzaku as they dodged laser blasts. Lelouch started to get winded faster than his friends but he wasn't going to give up, and he started to push himself, running faster. He stole a glance back at the burning campus, hoping that everyone would be alright...

North American Continent, Britannia Capital Pendaran
Back at Pendaran, Darth Vader had started his advance towards the Royal Palace. Flanked by his elite troops of his 501st Division, he marched forward confidently, lightsaber drawn. Two Southerlands moved towards him, firing and he just sidestepped the bullets. He lifted his hand up, and both Knightmares were blown back by a powerful force. The armored man doesn't even slow his stride as he continued to move forward.

If they had blasters or laser cannons, those mechanical units would be more of a threat... Darth Vader thought as he kept his advance. Several ordinary soldiers went to open fire as the 501st opened fire, their E-11 blasters deli

    I love this episode!

The idea of making Charles of Brittania into an Imperial Moff is a nice way of tying the two universes together. It also allows the Britainnians to be a much more formidable threat in the Star Wars universe. This way, it justifies Luke and Leia fighting him. I also like how the Empire just mows over the Britainnians as well.

The Suzaku and Lelouch friendship is also well done.

I found this story last night while googling for Code Geass crossover fiction... very interesting. Gives me hope for the CG/Star Trek crossover story I have gestating in the back of my mind. (Incidentlaly, google Star Wars, Geass, and Paths of Redemption for the another one if you're curious.)

I hope there's further material on fallout from Kallen and Lelouch's revelations... the student councilors are likely in a state of shock from an honest-to-God alien invasion at the moment, and their "Oh - So that's what you do between classes" reaction they're showing now won't last long, particularly Nina if she stays true to form.

I hope to see more on the Emperor (Charles)'s mindset... right now, it looks like he accepted defeat too easily, although I bet the inner wheels of his mind see this as an opportunity to unite the whole world under his rule in one fell swoop. Also, a drawn-out battle would only damage his archaeological research, imperiling the Sword of Akasha project. As more info on The Force becomics apparent, perhaps we'll see him extend his Ragnarok plan on an interstellar basis rather than just his one little world. That'll draw the Black Knight snd the Jedi Knights closer together.

So, you write it by hand to roughdraft it, then type it to a word program when you've hammered out all the kinks, huh?

I rarely do fanfics, but when I do, it's totally on a keyboard the entire way. Can't help it -- I'm a total hand-wimp when it comes to writing with a pen or pencil, my fingers and knuckles feel like they're on fire halfway through just a handful of thank-you cards :(

Charlemange19: Thanks. What was your favorite part?

Mysecretidentity: You're right they were in a state of shock, however, they were also with friends they knew for years. They trust Lelouch and Kallen, despite their secrets. And Charles surrendered for the exact same reasons you thought. When he learns of the Force...well his plans will rival that of Palpatine's.

RK-Striker-JK5: Thanks, though his surrender'll work into his plan, Striker. Hope you like this chapter!

    Chapter 4: Rebellious Ambitions
    Japan, Tokyo Settlement
It would take time for the Emperor's surrender message to get to his complete forces due to the fighting raging around the globe. In Japan, Cornellia was still fighting with her men against the Imperial Forces, even though her Glouster was now one armed.

"Princess! Please retreat!" She heard Guilford call.

Cornellia growled and she eased her Knightmare back. Guilford lunges to take her place. The AT-AT's, as they had been identified after capturing an Imperial pilot from an AT-ST, were completely unstoppable. Nothing that they did could even slow them down, and it seemed like they were getting faster. They even walked through buildings like they weren't even there. Then...the message comes.

"The Emperor...surrendered?" Cornelia's eyes widened in stunned shock. "That's impossible...Father would never surrender. He'd die first."

The soldiers started to stand down, lowering their weapons. Their Southerlands looked at each other, wondering what they should do.

"Don't stand down!" Cornellia ordered. "This may very well be faked. We have to keep fighting!"

"Princess, it carries the Imperial code!"

    "We have to stand down...its...orders."

Cornelia gritted her teeth. Her men began standing down again, and the princess closed her eyes.

"We'll disregard that order! We'll keep fighting! As long as we keep fighting, Britannia will never have surrendered! Soldiers of the Holy Britannian Empire, as your Princess, Cornelia li Britannia, I ORDER YOU TO ATTACK!"

Andreas Dalton and Gilbert Guilford held their breaths.

"Yes, Princess!" all the soldiers yelled and Guilford and Dalton formed up at her sides.

Cornelia spurs her Frame forward. "ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!"

"ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!" everyone yelled as they made a charge, either firing or going into close combat.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Japan, Mt. Fuji base
Meanwhile, Tohdoh and the Black Knights under his command were fighting the Imperials just as fiercely. They had destroyed all of the AT-ST's that were sent against them, but the large AT-AT's were still advancing. Tohdoh, known as the Miracle Worker throughout Japan for actually defeating Britannia in a battle attempted to work out a strategy to beat these things.

"Chigusa..." he whispered to his subordinate. "Is Princess Kaguya in a safe location?"

"Yes, she is," Chigusa replied as Tohdoh looked at the AT-AT's. "Sir...do you have a plan?"

"...I might..." he said, watching as the large machines tried to manuver out of the way of some uneven terrain. "That's it."

"Aim for the legs...try to trip the things up!"

"Sir, we've tried that before! None of our weapons could penetrate their armor!"

"Then we try to trip them using our Harken wires! Armor'll mean nothing against that!" He moved in, zipping and shooting out his harken. "Chigusa, catch it!"

"Tohdoh!" She calls, seizing the harken, racing alongside the man she loves.

They got in front of th AT-AT and anchored themselves as the leg came up. Both their Knightmares strained to fight the pull up.

    "Harder! Chigusa, pull!"

They pulled back...and the AT-AT fell. "YES!" Chigusa yelled.

Todoh aimed his rifle at the AT-AT's neck and fired two shots. The two leapt back as the entire unit exploded. "

I liked this episode a great deal.

Lelouch's conversation with Cornellia was a long time coming where he explained his reasoning in a clear and concise manner. I also like that Cornellia pointed out that Clovis was attacking the Japanese people over Lelouch's murder. I'm not certain I buy that Cornellia was always into the killing of civilians. She seemed a great deal more honorable than Clovis was ever.

Personally, I'd like a much larger flashback to where exactly Lelouch found out about the Rebel Alliance since there's not much of a chance he could have learned about it from local sources. It would be interesting to see that handled in fiction, even if you want to move forward.

    I also support Euphemia/Luke.

I was wondering the same thing... most likely he Geassed a stormtrooper or Imperial officer for info, and later access to a piggybacked holonet communication. I wonder if Luke or some other Jedi who escaped Order 66 may be on Earth _now_, given the weird feeling of being drawn that led Cornellia to Tohdoh.

I'd like more scenes regarding life in Tokyo and the ghettoes under the Empire... snippets like Thrawn's comments and the lack of death camps going up seem to indicate that, while the "Elevens" are still second-class citizens, the Imperials' standard for second-class is heads over the Britannians', which may affect any rebellion efforts. Also, seeing what Rivalz, Nunnally, and Nina are up to would be welcome... which leads to the matter of Milly; would the Imperials' put up with her bizarre festival shinnanigans, or would Thrawn be oddly drawn to her?

So, if my understanding of SW chronology is correct, Luke and the Rebels have by now been chased off Yavin, but they haven't quite resettled on Hoth yet, right?

Nice jump cut to a few months later... one of the things about R2 that fans have a problem with, but what the hey...

Lots of good characterization with one problem -- "Charles had resolved to eliminate his daughter in the next couple of weeks, despite how much it pained him". "Pained"? Now, the thing about the Emperor (of Britannia) as I've interpreted it was that everyone, including his own children (especially his own children, some might say) were just pawns to him, to be used, abused, and discarded as required for his plans. At best, his attitude was one of, "Hey, if this Sword of Akasha thing works out, the living and the dead will be reunited anyway, so it doesn't matter whether or not anyone gets killed". At least that's how I saw things, so by all rights an Imperial death squad should've come knocking on her doors the first time Euphie piped up.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this continued. Code Geass is one of my favorite fandoms right now and you've done a good job integrating it with Star Wars. Looking forward to seeing Zero's first miracle against the Empire, maybe it has something to do with the Chinese and freeing the Tianzi to help garner some more support and troops.
