Frets On Fire (Guitar Hero For PC)

Pretty cool game. It only comes with three songs but you can make your own, import, or download songs.

I just downloaded and installed it. Five minutes later, I sent it to the recycle bin because it was laggy as hell. Damn, and I sure was looking forward to rocking out to Rammstein.

Ah well. Back to Guitar Hero.

 

The fact that I can't hit 3-note-chords and strum at the same time means this loses.

 

My friend also has this and he plays with the X-Plorer (the 360 GH2 guitar). You just plug it in via the USB port, apparently.

 

I downloaded the latest version a while back and it was a little slow for me too but the version before that is fine for me.

That's only a problem with F1 because for whatever reason most keyboards don't let you press F1 and another F key at the same time.

 

Yeah, my advice is to just switch the controls to where 1 = Green Fret, 2 = Red Fret, etc.

And Boba, where can I download the non-laggy version? The main site just has the latest one.

 

The version I play is 1.2.451 (under File Releases).

Mine used to be laggy, then I turned down the graphics setting and it's fine (latest version).

Played this a lot between GH2 and GH3. However I can't hit a certain 3 note chord so some songs are pretty impossible to get good scores on
