I’ve been collecting Dark Horse Trade Paperbacks recently, and it’s been a lot of fun. They have one significant problem though - Dark Horse was generally uninterested in diligently collecting all their comics in TPB format, leading to a lot of orphaned issues and series. I believe that the vast majority (if not all) of the orphaned issues were eventually published in their Omnibus line-up, but they disappointingly chose to reduce the size of these books, I can only presume as a cost-cutting measure. This all brings me to Marvel’s Epic Collection. These books are full-sized, and some volumes have been very diligent about collecting obscure issues and presenting them in chronological order. The problem is that the comics collected seem to be somewhat haphazard, and there are still random holes in long series such as Republic and Empire. So here’s my question. Are there any sources on the internet that indicate Marvel’s plan to re-release the ENTIRE Dark Horse catalogue through these Epic Collections? They would be an ideal (and cheap) way to own the entire Legends timeline, but I can’t find any proof anywhere that they won’t orphan a bunch of stuff the way Dark Horse did.
Nope. All you can do is keep an eye on the general Marvel thread, as often Amazon-fishing will find info ahead of the formal 2-months ahead solicits from Diamond.

Marvel's Jeph York has said over on CollectedEditions.com that the intent is to collect everything in Epics (whether that means absolutely everything that could possibly be collected, like the webstrips, no-one yet knows) and that the entire Star Wars Epic line is mapped out already. Sorry, no direct links for that.
I believe that was Dark Horse’s stated plan for the Omnibus line as well, they just lost the rights before they got them all printed. I hope the Epics are indeed all-inclusive. Would love to have a giant shelf filled with every Star Wars comic ever.
