Gargoyles is my favorite cartoon of all time!!

It was announced the first week of August at The Gathering (Gargoyles Convention) that Season 1 of Disney's Gargoyles was aiming for a DVD release date of December 7. It's supposed to have commentaries, interviews with cast and crew, a documentary, and all kinds of cool stuff, as well as Greg Weisman's original show pitch.

This is so awesome. I can finally replace my old, crappy, taped-off-of-TV VHS copies with digital copies!

For those of you that watched Gargoyles like I did, I'm gonna use the exclaimation "Jalapena!"

    :D

Here's a website with more information: Gargoyles News Central.

I remember watching this show. It was awesome at the time. Then in the later episodes it got kinda weird to me. I dont even remember what was weird about it except that it was weird. Good show the first season, maybe second, dunno where it left off.

That was a good show. I think I might buy that one. I'm also excited that the old "Garfield and Friends" cartoon is also coming out on DVD! I'm definitely getting that one, but I refuse to see the movie.

I heard about this a long time ago at Station Eight, a pretty big Gargoyles site. (www.s8.org) Got the Goliath Chronicles theme off there.

Gargoyles, to me, is one of the most incredible works of art ever produced for television. It had amazing talent, complexity, and heart behind it. Due solely to this fact, I would not recommend the show for anyone under the age of about 15 -- they won't get all the references to history and classical literature.

    Beast Wars was awesome :D

but the old X-Men, Spider-Man, and Batman cartoons were better... and Batman Beyond!

I'll probably buy it. Depends on how much it is.

And when is Garfield coming out? I haven't heard anything about it. I used to watch that cartoon religously. The baby chicken with the egg still on was great!

    GO BUCKEYES!

I occasionally go to a bunch of big Gargoyles sites, like s8.org and gargoyles-fans.org (where I've submitted some fanfics)...but this is the first I'd ever heard of the DVD.

Heh. I always thought Xanatos' gargoyle armour was .

Keith David, Jonathan Frakes, and Marina Sirtis contributed a lot to the show. They made great voice actors. Especially Keith David. I've liked all the voice work he's done, especially on Spawn. :D

EDIT: Come to think of it, almost the entire TNG cast was on that show. IIRC, Brent Spiner did the voice of Owen/Puck, and I'm pretty sure Patrick Stewart did a few guest voices. [face_hypnotized]

I think the only Star Trek actors in Gargloyles were Jonathan Frakkes (Xanatos), Marina Sirtis (Demona), Brent Spiner (Puck), LeVar Burton (Anansi), Kate Mulgrew (Titania/Anastasia), and Michael Dorn (Coldstone).

    ...That's right...I'm a Gargoyles Geek! :-B
