Back from a very long hiatus. I thought I would write something silly as I prepare to pick up my abandoned stories again. It has been a very tough 62 weeks. I lost my husband unexpectedly after a planned surgery to deal with a disability he developed while serving in the Army in the late 1980s. I don't want to trauma dump. I hope you enjoy this.

    "Girls Night"

The cantina is alive with chatter, the hum of conversation mingling with the faint sound of music from the corner band. The air is thick with the smells of various galactic cuisines, the clink of glassware, and the occasional loud laugh from nearby tables. Three women sit at a corner booth, sipping colorful cocktails, clearly amid a deep conversation.

Siri Tachi, Satine Kryze, and Asajj Ventress are gathered around a round table with a cocktail. Their conversation is heated, full of exasperated laughter and exaggerated gestures, as they complain about the one thing they all have in common: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Siri Tachi slams her drink down and looks at the other women, "I swear, I have never met a Jedi so good at flirting and pretending it's all 'by the book.'"

Satine nods and adds, "He could charm the pants off a senator and still make it seem like a 'diplomatic discussion.' Please. The man is a walking flirtation."

Ventress takes a long sip from her glass and adds, smiling, "Honestly, it's impressive. He makes all that politeness look effortless. It's like he's got some Jedi superpower for it. Or maybe he thinks it is part of his job description."

Siri Tachi leans in, "Good disguise, Ventress. I barely recognized you. But aren't you worried Dooku might find out you're on our side?"

Ventress shakes her head. "Dooku is a fool, and Girl's Night is a risk I will take. Now, back to Kenobi and his neverending flirtations."

Siri nods, "You're telling me. I've seen Obi-Wan play both sides of the fence in one meeting. He flirts and negotiates in the same breath! He could make a Hutt believe in the Republic's ideals with one look."

Satine Kryze chuckles, "Honestly, you all know what he's like. The charm that comes naturally, but always pretending to be above it. Like it's some Jedi virtue; if I didn't know him better, I'd think he was hiding his true feelings under that smirk."

Ventress laughs again, "True, and the 'Jedi calm.' When it suits him, he's as calm as a bantha. And when it doesn't? Watch out for that charming smile. You never know if he's about to talk you into a treaty or make you swoon."

Siri Tachi, by now, is exasperated. "Don't even get me started on his persistence. He's like a Jedi mission – always on task, never deviating. Except when it comes to us. And then, somehow, he gets all mysterious and silent."

Satine raises her glass and adds, "He's an enigma wrapped in a diplomatic package, isn't he? You know, Obi-Wan could give lessons in the art of subtle manipulation."

Ventress leans back in her chair, "Maybe he can teach a course to the

Younglings. But do you know what the worst part is? He's got that Jedi humility. He makes it all look so innocent. But we all know. He's had way too much practice."

"Exactly. That's the worst part! He plays the perfect Jedi. But all I see is a man who can't seem to admit the one thing he wants," Siri agrees.

The Grand Duchess of Mandalore snickers, "Which is?"

Ventress grins, "Well, it's not me. And I know it's not you, Satine."

Siri Tachi groans and says, "Yep, we all know where this is headed."

Just as Siri, Satine, and Ventress share a knowing look and laugh, the waitress—a Twi'lek—approaches with their second round of drinks, clearly overhearing the tail end of their conversation. She's trying to keep her professional composure, but a grin sneaks up as she listens and says, "Well, well, well, looks like I overheard something interesting. Obi-Wan Kenobi, huh? What a smile that man has. Such a flirt."

The three women stop mid-laugh and look at the waitress in surprise, their expressions turning into amused disbelief before they laugh again,

Siri laughs, "Oh, trust me, we know. A lightsaber isn't the only thing Kenobi knows how to wield."

Satine chuckles at that comment, "Yeah, the man could talk a Hutt into taking a bath. But we're all still waiting for him to admit what he wants."

Ventress now says in a mocking tone, emulating Obi-Wan's voice, "I'm just waiting for the right moment. You know, when I'm not busy saving the galaxy or charming politicians."

The waitress laughs and nods along knowingly. She playfully says,
"Well, if you ever need him to admit anything, I'm sure a couple of cocktails might do the trick. He loves a good drink."

The women exchange glances and burst into laughter again.

Siri Tachi is doubtful, "I don't think even a million drinks would help with him. The man is impossible."

Satine sips and says, "And way too good at pretending."

Ventress raises her glass in a toast, "Well, here's to the man who's got us all wrapped around his little finger. However, he is so oblivious, he doesn't even know it."

They all toast, clinking their glasses together, a moment of camaraderie shared in their frustration and amusement over the perplexing one and only Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The waitress leaves them to their conversation, shaking her head with a smile. But just as she's about to turn, she stops and looks back at them, eyes wide with excitement."Wait a minute! You're Siri Tachi, aren't you?" She asks with glee.

Siri Tachi is surprised, "Uh… yes, that's me. How do you know?"

The waitress is now giddy and bursting with excitement. "I knew it! Obi-Wan had one too many drinks here a while back. He was gushing about you! His Padawan—Anakin, right?—finally had to call one of his friends, Garen Muln, to help get him home. He was all like, 'Siri is so beautiful, Siri is so awesome, I'm in love with her, I don't know how to tell her!'"

Siri, Satine, and Ventress freeze, wide-eyed. Then they all burst into laughter, absolutely dying at the image of Obi-Wan gushing about his feelings to anyone who'd listen.

Siri Tachi smiles, “Obi-Wan Kenobi, huh? The 'perfect Jedi' and a romantic wreck when he's had too much to drink?"

Satine Kryze laughs, "Well, that explains a lot!"

Ventress drinks her cocktail in one gulp and signals the waitress for another round: " It looks like the Jedi's secrets are out."

The waitress smiles, thrilled with the gossip she's just dropped. As she walks away to bring another round, the three women share a quiet moment, stunned by the revelation.

Siri Tachi muses momentarily and raises her glass for another toast, "To Obi-Wan—master of many things, but when it comes to matters of the heart… well, not so much."

They all laugh again, toasting once more, enjoying the ridiculousness of it all. After all, in the end, Obi-Wan Kenobi may be a Jedi Master, but when it comes to love, he's just like the other men in the galaxy: human, imperfect, and a little bit clueless.

    The End.

A prefect piece to describe Obi-Wan and his love for the ladies with Siri being his favorite. And that's discovered by the waitress.

First of all, it's great to meet you, and welcome back to the boards! [:D] I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your husband; please let us know if there's anything we folks here can do to help. @};- This was a very fun read, and it's such a charming idea to give these three a "night out" to just chat together; love that Asajj got to be part of the group, too. They are all spot-on right about Obi-Wan, of course; it really is as though he has a Force talent for negotiation and verbal charm, the way some Jedi have an affinity for animal communication, or others for dueling or piloting, and so forth. But when it comes to love, well, that changes everything, even for Jedi, as they find out from the waitress! ;) And she, of course, is perfectly positioned to hear (and remember) that kind of under-the-influence confession from Obi and any other patron; I bet she's pleased with herself at the effect her bit of gossip had on the three women. Thanks so much for sharing this adorable story with us, and I hope we'll see you around; please don't be a stranger! =D=
