which is your favorite of the Scorcese films?


The Departed is the best for me. The ending whoa. but the whole movie was good.

The Godfather a Scorsese film?

Godfather>everything else.

 

Godfather was boring. Just a bunch of guys talking and getting killed. I turned it off halfway, disgusted, and wanting my 84 minutes back.

Now, on Scorsese, I prefer Gangs of New York. Great film. Lot's of sex and violence. What cinema is all about.

 

Yeah, the Godfather series is really overrated.

I like The Aviator.

 

I haven't seen The Departed yet but if I had to choose between Casino and Goodfellas, I'd pick Casino. Goodfellas is good but I just didn't think it was great. But I've only seen it once so I should probably watch it again.

 

So, I'm gonna go ahead and point out that Francis Ford Coppola directed The Godfather.

On a side note, The Godfatehr is one of the greatest films of all time.

Scorse's movies are always like ten hours.

 

after hours is like 1.5 hours long

 

Taxi Driver is about normal length. Goodfellas is only 2 hr, 15 min. the Departed is only 2 1/2 hours. Which of his films are ou takling about?

If the United States could submit a single film to some kind of world movie competition, The Godfather would be (or should be) it.

 

Many would say it would be Gone With the Wind, Citizen Kane, and Casablanca, but yes, The Codfather is certainly worthy.

1) Goodfellas
2) Raging Bull
3) The King of Comedy

 

Nah, it should be Star Trek V.

 

Though The Godfather obviously beats it, I think The Departed is probably the second greatest gangster movie.

I think The Untouchables is better than Goodfellas.

 

I think Casino has the best positive associations for me. Which isn't to say I would recommend it as the best movie- But it reminds me of casinos (surprise!), some of which were like a second home to me.

 

Okay, this is ridiculous.

There is no comparison between GODFATHER.... and EVERYTHING ELSE. The film about our favorite crime family is above your squabbling, plain and simple.
