Hello, im exploring other boards to see how other fans do things.

 

Well, these boards are probably not the best guage of how our club works. We usually work off a Yahoo list.

Did you have any specific questions we can answer?

 

As she mentioned above, our boards are fairly quiet compared to our e-mail list. But we'd be glad to answer any questions you might have.

 

what kind of get togethers do ya'll have? We usually talk about our plans for the release of episode III and play halo

 

Our usual meetings involve eating (we really like doing that) and a theme of some sort.

We'll ask people to bring in a collectible that applies to the theme for the month.

For example, when Pirates of the Caribbean came out, we had a rogue/"Han you ol' pirate" theme and asked everyone to bring in their favorite Star Wars rogue collectible. We had everything from Rogue Squadron stuff to Han Solo stuff. Then we went out to putt-putt golf at Pirate's Cove.

This month, we're having what we're calling a Jawa Trader. We're telling folks to bring in items from their collections they'd like to trade for or get rid of.

Plagiarize whenever possible. Surf other clubs' websites and use their ideas. It gets hard to think of stuff, after a while!
