I noticed in Revenge of the Sith, When General Grievous was in a duel with Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan cut both of Grievous's bottom hand when he spilt them into four seperate arms.

Does Grievous need more Jedi fighting lessons on how to block lightsbaer attacks.

No, not at all. Watch the Clone Wars Cartoons, that is the REAL General Greivous, no matter what the fans say. Lucas just ripped his Coolness away with a stupid couch and a terrible voice, and terrible fighting skills.

    WHY LUCAS!!!!!?????/ WHY!!!!!!!?????

On the DVD, Lucas said Grievous was INTENDED to be a weak fighter. He's supposed to be more cunning, like Sidious, but a coward.

    Grievous- A weak fighter?

Well, I'm sure he could fight for days on end...

    ...but a whole weak? I don't think so.:p

Seriously, (well, semi-seriously) Grievous is a skilled swordsman, but he lacks...

    ...GUIDANCE FROM THE FORCE.

Grievous is cool. I seen Chapter 20 when he first appreaed. In the movie he was coughing and slow and in the Clone Wars he was fast and deadly. I heared that Mace Windu did something to Grievous before the Battle of Courscant.

It made him a weak fighter in the movie.

yes, he was very weak. he could have been very very cool.... but ended up looking a neimodian (sp?) with a lightsaber (or 2).
he seamed so fearsome in the cartoon, it made you wonder how he was going to be stopped and then in the film you think wuuusss. i suppose it was so he didnt take the attention from the main characters, but still very dissapointing

so what?. Grievous was different than the Clone Wars shorts. they are cartoons , and are Waaay to over the top as far as Character abilities go anyway. Lucas calls him a slimy Villain, and he is. does every single combatant in the SW universe have to display superhuman or incredible skill and technique?. NO. how boring would that be. Diversity is flavor .Grievous has an inflated Ego that does not measure up when he is on his own. he's the Tough guy when he has his bodyguards and when faced with real opposition runs away. he took Kenobi on and cut out before he was beaten. it fits with the Slimy Villainlabel. he works . people need to get past the Cartoon. which by the way made him way more one dimensional than the film. Lucas made him this way for a reason.

Exactly, after I saw Chapter 25 of Clone Wars I thought

Holy ####, Greivous is invincible, who the hell is gonna kill him?

Now I had a feeling that Obi-Wan would kill him. But oh god, why did you have to weaken his character George Lucas? Jeezus, Greivous was freakin awesome.

Actually, Grievous is NOT a weak fighter. Obi-Wan may be better with a lightsaber, but many of you forget that Grievous has tremendous physical strength (due to his cyborg body). In the final part of the fight, when they both fall off the wheelbike, Grievous kicks the crap out of Obi-Wan and tosses him around like a rag doll.

Didn't all of you see Mace Windu crushing his chest with one simple gesture?

I found out that Grievous might not have been a slow and coughing fighter if Mace Windu diden't squezze his chest containing his gutsack with all his internal organs. If you want to see this, go to Starwars.com, and go to the Clone Wars Micro-Series- View Chapters. (You need to have Quicktime to see the video)

Besides, who cares if Greivous was One-Dimensional in Clone Wars. This is the 21s Century, where everyone is stupified by special effects and cheesy plots.

I say, BRING ON THE ONE-DIMENSIONALS. Let's see some senseless Kick-Assness

Weeeeeeeeeeellllllllllll, this is a common complaint, but Grievous is not a weak fighter by any stretch. It took Obi-Wan Kenobi to take him out. I'd say that counts for something. And it's not like it's easy for Obi! Grievous is cowardly, he will run if he can, as opposed to fighting. GL has said as much on numerous occations. And the clone wars cartoon series, while awesome, exaggerated the power of every character (Mace Windu on Dantoonie, anyone?), including Grievous.

i know what your saying duggy, but star wars films ARE action based. i mean, if yoda and sidious had said 'lets settle this over a game of cards' we'd have all been a touch dissapointed

[face_plain] That would be funny. But I wouldn't laugh. I am a Star Wars fan and I want to see them fight. The duels of Episode III were great. Greivous and Obi-Wan lightsbaer duel was quick, it ended when the clones arrived and when Obi-Wan forced pushed Grievous in a vent.

Because of Obi-Wan being the best fighter in that Duel. Grievous couldnt handle his lightsaber technique.
