Grimace: McDonald's made him fat.

After years of being involved in the ad campaigns, Grimace might be dead. I noticed he/she/it "disappeared" near the time when people were suing the corporation for allegedly "making them fat." He had no choice because McDonald's designed his character. So, is Grimace the counterexample?

 

I like Grimmace.
Did the hamburglar go away because he stole, hence a rise in crime among teenage youths?

 

How delightful can a character named Grimace be?


He was a kid with Down's Syndrome and his parents abandoned at a Mcdonalds somewhere and he grew up on the greasy and cancerous food causing him to evolve into a twisted and depraved being. After the rumors of the kid known as Grimace spread, the Mcdonalds corporation decided to use the image and their artists then illustrated their concepts of the strange being as a part of their mascot campaign. Along with a pedophile clown at a Mcdonalds in Newy York, a crude caricature of Al Capone and strange pom pom-like corpses found in a crash site in New Mexico.

The answer is "fries."

I always thought the most interesting character was the political puppetmaster known as MAYOR McCHEESE! He ruled the McDonalds political arena with an iron (and, at times, plastic) fist; and judging by his name, I suspect he was a major player in the dairy game as well.

One can only guess the kind of Machiavellian machniations McCheese has been behind in recent years. But know this: if there's a World War III, you just know McCheese will be pulling the strings from his remote castle villa, surrounded by his evil minions (the Fry Kids and that bloke with a moon for a head).

I don't know about Machiavellian. Back when I was just a wee tyke, I used to climb around inside his head in the McDonald's playground (back when the rides could actually hurt you); like many a politician, there wasn't much there to be found.

 

I don't believe I've ever heard of Mayor McCheese!

I have a professor that looks exactly like Grimace but isn't purple.... when she wears a purple shirt or pants or something everyone goes "I'm going to Grimace's lab today.."

 

McDonalds needs to die already.

Yeah, that did it for me. The Burger King guy was like that, too, when the add campaign first started.

Wow, I had totally forgotten about Mac Tonight! That was an awesome character. He flew around with a piano on top of a cloud. Frickin' genius.

Grimace clearly swings both ways...

 

Most people thought Mac Tonight's head was a moon, but this is a common misconception. The character had actually a giant Marijuana Joint shaped head. To accomodate the thousands of stoners who frequent Mcdonalds in the wee hours of the morning. Thus the catch phrase and name, Mac TOnight. Also notice that his mode of transportation was a puff of smoke. HE also wore sunglasses to hide his bloodshot eyes and often grinned at everything.

 

He's not fat, he's big-boned. Assuming he has bones and isn't supported by a series of fluid-filled bladders or something.

Amazing.

 

Did anybody else hear about Mayor McCheese? His dead,nude coprse was found in a sleazy motel room in the South a few years back. A shame for his good reputation to end like that.
