Oceania Guys, which magazine do you prefer: FHM or RALPH?

FHM and RALPH are Australian mens magazines, the male equivalent of Cleo or Cosmo.

Guys, which do you prefer?

For some unknown reason, I prefer FHM, but I don't mind reading both!

 

I actually thought FHM was the import from Britain...shows you how much I know.

And as for which is the better read...well...I'm not exactly cruising them for the articles, I admit...

 

FHM is almost as bad as Ralph, which is abominable.

 

I believe that there are both Australian and British versions of FHM.

Why do you think both versions are bad?

 

I don't buy either, so I don't really have a preference.

What do they cost, like $10? That's $10 that I can spend on other stuff...

 

I don't buy either. That's what the internet is for. I spend my money on novels, CD's, DVD's and games.

 

I got a subscription for FHM and Ralph...but FHM is MUCH better. Its just got pointless, yet VERY interesting, articles in it. Such as:

HOW to avoid being shot by a sniper

HOW to make your own 'adult' video

HOW to convert your car into a rally car

and so forth

 

Not my kind of magazine. But... if you looked @ what mags I read, you'd probably see that it's not really a Ralph/FHM conducive environment - it just doesn't fit well with the Economist or the Diplomat or TIME...

I mean, why isn?t it called ?Which magazine do you prefer: the one with porn, or the other one with porn.? Now I admit that most woman?s magazines are crap (that?s why half of us DON?T buy them), but I think their ?male equivalents? are really kicking arse in ?that? area.

Now, THAT?S cool. You mean, they?re magazines? with articles in them! And you are meant to read them and learn something?! Sorry to you guys who ?read? the FHM and Ralph magazines, but respect goes to those guys who don?t need their daily fix of plastic women to survive.

 

I also get Australian Shooter, but not by choice. It's a subscription with membership to the SSAA thing.

Erm, no.

Both are filled with females. The female magazines are based more around women's appearance and how to live up to the ridiculous image created by magazines, rather than simply gawking at men in the same way men do at women in FHM or RALPH.

 

Why bother? They're both pretty moronic, but nontheless amusing to read from time to time for the bogan culture they perpetuate. The only magazine I read regularly is our student union one, because it has amusing and interesting stuff that I enjoy.

Not wanting to be b!tchy or anything...but...well, for a majority of the ladies on this forum, there's not too many choices I can see out of the two. FHM? Ralph? Well, the choices are tough.

Anyway...what is the point of this thread, I ask?

 

Magazines. Male ones. What else does there need to be to make a thread with a point. Hell, haven't you ever visited VicFF. I think Hawk's given up on modding most of our stuff...
