JCC Happy 50th anniversary to Spain's first astronaut!

    The illustrious Prime Minister and Admiral Luis Carrero Blanco had achieved much in his life, he was the heir to Francoism and essentially ran the Spanish State as Franco's life drew to a close. But there was still one more thing that eluded him. And as such, on December 20th, 1973, the Basque separatist group ETA (short for Estimated Time of Arrival) helped him achieve immortality, by launching Carrero Blanco, his driver, and his bodyguard past the thermosphere to become the first Spaniards in space .
