    Will this guy be one of the next greats? He's appeared in a number of magazines since Episode II came out. He'll also be starring in three movies within the next year.

    * Nailed Right In (2003)
    * Other Side of Simple, The (2003)
    * Shattered Glass (2003)

    What do you guys and gals think?

    Hayden's acting from Star Wars hasn't impressed me at all.

    I saw Hayden in London in the theatre production "This is our youth" and he is actually quite a good actor. He definatly proved he can do very good mood swings easily.

    Well I thought he was good anyway :)

    Hayden is a fine actor, you losers. He done great in Attack of the Clones and he'll do even better in Star Wars: Episode III.

    Don't rip on teh Christensen.

    It'll be interesting to see what path he'll chose as an actor, whether he'll go the Harrison Ford route, and do lots of exciting blockbuster films, or the Ewan McGregor route, and star in smaller, but more character driven films. I think he's a tremendous actor, so I very much hope he's successful, and I do hope he goes for the Ewan McGregor path! Mind you, the Harrison one isn't too terrible, so either's good.

    Yeah I hope he stays subtle, like Ewan.

    I loved Hayden in EP. II, but forget that for a second. If you ever saw "Life As a House, " there's no arguement on how good of an actor he is. I normally don't like those sappy, tear-jerker movies, but I checked it out to get a taste of Hayden before Ep. II. He really is a superb actor. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to check it out.

    Yep. The kid's a helluvan actor--just check "Life as a House" for your proof... ;)

    He was damn good in AOTC too...not as good as "Life", but pretty damn good...I'm excited to see his performance in Episode III. :)

    I too think he'll be in alot of upcoming movies...but I too hope he keeps it "subtle" and "character driven", much like Obi...I mean Ewan... [face_blush]

    I think Hayden's a fine actor. Besides that, Hayden had the toughest task in AOTC. It was his first major film besides Life as a House, which means it's one of the first films for him to make his mark in hollywood. Besides that, it's Star Wars. It has a huge legacy, and he's playing the main character. That would be quite challenging to anyone. I think he's done fine so far (watch the confession scene and Shmi's death/funeral).

    I think Hayden will be more like Ewan McGregor. Currently Ewan is making his way into big star status. I can see Hayden working on smaller films, then making his way up to bigger films where he'll build a big star career. I think this will be more likely to happen after Episode III though.

    Hayden is an awesome actor. I love Life as a House. It's an amazing movie and Hayden did an amazing job in it.

    I can see him being somewhere between Harrison and Ewan. He might do a couple blockbusters but then also do the subtle root like Ewan and do a lot of small but incredibly awesome movies.

    Funny, everyone I know personally thinks Hayden is a terrible actor. I think he did wonderfully with facial expressions and physical acting, but I think his handling of dialogue in AOTC wasn't that great. (Of course, that wasn't his fault.)

    I'd like to see an example of Hayden's "bad acting."

    Hayden is an awesome actor.
    I'm a huge fan. Loved his performance in
    LIFE AS A HOUSE. That took guts!

    He's gonna be a (pardon the pun) force to reckon with in Episode III.

    I know he's been told to muscle up for Episode III and I know he's looking forward to turning into Mr. Vader. I saw a quote on the main force.net page awhile back where he's chomping at the bit to play someone "wicked-bad." Based on that confession scene in Episode II he's got the darkness in him to be quite monstrous in Episode III. Did you see that look in his eyes when he was slicing up those Tusken Raiders?

    A lot of fans want Star Wars darker. Well, there's not gonna be any Ewoks in Episode III and very little Jar Jar. But lots of Hayden turning into the film world's most malicious, vicious villanous icon. I can barely wait until 2005. Hayden's gonna be cool! He WILL be the most POWERFUL Jedi ever. (Not only have I forseen it, but so has Palpatine!) When Anakin grows to his full potential he's gonna make Yoda and Obi-Wan look weak and pathetic. He's gonna hunt down the Jedi and kill 'em all. He's gonna terrorize Yoda and Kenobi into hiding. And with Hayden in the driver's seat, the characterization is gonna be unforgettable.

    I think Hayden is a fantastic actor. He's not the type of actor who simply says their lines like, for example, Natalie Portman. (All IMO, of course.) He seems to become the person. You can see it in his posture, tone, and the movements he makes. I can't wait to see more of his work. :)

    When I first saw the trailers for Episode 2 I thought Hayden was the worst actor EVAR!!!11@ when I first saw the trailer for Episode 2. After Watching the movie, mainly the confession scene I was blown away. Nowadays, I feel I kind of jumped the gun, and his acting was merely passable for most of the movie with the exception of that scene (and the funeral scene). Oh well, it's not the end of the world, but still I can see where the critisms with Anakin lie. There's also the fact that they most likely cast him because of his pretty boy look over the fact that he isn't all that experienced as an actor.

    Just a brief note, Hayden's a very experienced actor. He's only about 21 years old and he's been acting since he was about 8 years old, from what I've read. He's no beginner, he's been acting most of his life.

    I found him to be more hype than anything else. Compare him to a sort of undiscovered Harrison Ford at the time of ANH and there's no comparison. Hayden has alot of ground to make up.
