    Title: He Alone
    Era: Legacy 137 aby
Characters: We'll start with Antares, Sia and Cade; and see where it goes from there? o_O
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars, darn it. [face_plain]

</Kick Note :)> A special shout to my beta, who, as always, just does his thing and makes everything alright. [face_love]. And, who, I might add, contributed a lot to Antares' POV in this.o_O Go Sean! Special thanks to Maggy for the totally sexy savvy Draco/Sia cover art! This one is for you, beautiful!:*

To Wes and Traci for the valueless support the last few weeks. [face_tired] And again to Trace for keeping this board appropriate. [face_blush] I think, in the end, only some wording had to be changed. The end is themed after M.W. Stovers RotS novel, it's obvious, but I'll certainly mention it anyway. The same with Mr. Ostrander and Legacy #49 and #50, whose words on Antares gave me the title. Also, the title and some internal monulogue are loosely based on songs by the group Live. They are, I Alone and Lightning Crashes

Writing this has been my therapy the last month. :( Since Antares Draco is all the rage these days.. here is Antares Draco. Personally, I would have preferred for him to stay under the radar. But, hey, one can't become great if one never does great things? That's what I keep telling myself anyway. [face_praying]

    "He Alone"

    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/MarasiahFelAntaresDraco01.jpg]

    Chapter I: Chasing the Wind

As the Imperial high princess, Marasiah Fel had sat through her share of lectures in her nineteen years; most of the time it had been a well-meaning governess giving lessons on galactic histories, a well skilled diplomat teaching her the finer mechanics of body language and critical thinking, or Threepio teaching her Hutteese among other alien languages.

For the most part, she found education a rewarding experience if not always an interesting one. However, there was one person whose philosophies and histories she never tired of hearing. Marasiah adhered to every word he said and watched every move he made. The problem with their lessons lately was that they often became distracted with other? more pleasurable endeavors.

Though he was seven years older than Sia, the princess had been guilty of having a crush on Antares since she was old enough to have one. When she had been a girl, before the wars started, the princess had always tried to work it out that he would be assigned to her security details for lifeday parties, social outings and concerts whenever possible. Through the years, their friendship had turned into something much more, and here they lie entwined and completely exposed before one another.

Her father had boarded the Dauntless earlier in the evening, leaving Antares and Marasiah behind to finalize details of the evacuation plan. Their duty dictated that they seldom had these opportunities, so they made a habit of capitalizing on them.

She knew him and seldom missed even the most subtle changes in his volatile moods. She ran her finger up his arm as she lay next to him and interlaced her legs with his. He covered her with the bed linen as she kissed her way up his arm to his neck and then his ear.

Antares sighed heavily, tossing the last of her silk garments to the floor and she felt his disposition change. He shifted under her, his resolve fading. ?You?re about to get into trouble.?

?I?ve always liked getting into trouble with you,? she whispered in his ear, her breath heavy, ?especially the last few months.?

He frowned, she wasn?t taking this seriously. Frustration similar to electric current charged Antares? emotions and he pinned her beneath him; his familiar and unbridled passion pulling her to him and a sudden irrevocable primal need to have him rushed her senses, her heart raced rampant and erratic, their Force bond a wildfire.

Antares, however, refused; instead locking her hands above her he

?I own the vows of an Imperial Knight, Sia: I live them, I breathe them, I bleed them, and I?ll die by them.?

    Very cool.

The harsh words lingered between them. She gently brushed his unruly black hair out of his eyes. ?We can?t become what we fight, ?Tares.?

?You?re right.? He agreed and added. ?We have to become more.?

    Powerful.

?The weapon Skywalker forged is himself and he unknowingly showed me what I must become.?

[face_worried] This doesn't sound good at all.

Blue, sweet pateesa, come warm up my hydrospanner with your drives ?cause daddy needs some lovin.

    [face_laugh][face_laugh][face_laugh]

I have got to finish reading Legacy, seriously.

?She believed him dead for months while she carried his child,? She paused, shaking her head. ?I can?t imagine what that must have been like? How heartbroken she must have been? Believing she had lost him like that and for so long. Eventually he found her and his son, your ancestor, in a cave on Kaashyyk listening to a holomessage from him. He walked in and??

?Finished the words himself.? Antares completed, joining his voice with Sia?s.

Oh wow. This is tragically beautiful.

He had become whatever was necessary and Antares would do no less.

He alone would protect Sia at any cost.

    He would not fail.

    My kinda guy. :p

?I meant what I said, Sia. Not even the darkest hell could scare me now. I?m ready for anything, come what may, as along as you?re safe. The Sith will curse me, they may end me, but they better stand clear. I know who I am now, and I?m not afraid.?

Would it be wrong to admit that I'm seriously melting inside? [face_laugh]

He sees his reflection in the mirror and skims a gloved finger over the freshly painted Sith tattoos. For all practical purposes he is now a Sith Lord; but he?ll never go over, he?ll never join them. He hates them entirely too much; he hates them for what they?ve done to her, he hates the Sith too much to become one. Roan knows Marasiah?s survival is the ultimate motivation for Draco. Her pain and suffering the only thing capable of corrupting him; pushing him to become what he hates in order to save her, to save them all.

    No. Way.

    ***

    Cliffie ending!

PM's please? [face_batting] There will be more, right?

    Awesome. :cool:=D=

    You?re so cute when you?re crusading. [face_love]

Though he was seven years older than Sia, the princess had been guilty of having a crush on Antares since she was old enough to have one. When she had been a girl, before the wars started, she had always tried to work it out that he would be assigned to her security details for lifeday parties, social outings and concerts whenever possible. Sneaky little princess.

    Draco never stood a chance.

Antares sighed heavily, tossing the last of her silk garments to the floor and she felt his disposition change. He shifted under her, his resolve fading. ?You?re about to get into trouble.?

It happens. You can only push a man so far.

She was getting entirely too good at that, he thought, and caught her nimble fingers, kissing them. ?But you?re trying to pick one, Marasiah Fel; if you have an accusation to make, please make it so I know what I?m being accused of.?

    Men have rights?

    What a novel idea. :p

Marasiah failed to see the humor and shoved him off of her. ?An understanding? Is that so?? She kicked his shin, hard. ?You understand this Master Draco; I will not be auctioned to or promised by anyone; not even to you and certainly not by him. Don?t ever compromise yourself or your duty to the Force like that again, promise me you won?t!?

    You?re so violent Kick. [face_plain]

God help me, I love it. [face_tired] [face_love]

This was excellent, Darco?s POV at the end was moving and true to that character, to where he was at when Legacy wrapped. I enjoyed both working on it and reading it. [face_blush]

To Wes and Traci for the valueless support the last few weeks.

Like The Man said, nobody?s safe at this point. We gotta stick together. [:D]

Cade Skywalker feels the same way, so it?s not just that ?Draco is a pompous Imperial ass who thinks he?s superior to all?.? Antares smarted in a perfect rendition of Cade?s voice.

Sia giggled, unable to help herself. He had Cade pegged and despite the seriousness of their conversation and her current ire with him her mood lightened. ?How long have you been practicing that?? She quipped.

?Oh, I had a month to perfect it, Princess.?

    [face_laugh] That cracked me up!

You really have a knack for writing Sia/Draco and I?m always impressed by the way you?re able to fill out their story with such detail while still staying true to the comics. :D

[face_worried] This doesn't sound good at all.

Cade? Yeah, Cade is the key to it all, I have little doubt. And, I suspect, there is much more to young Skywalker than we?ve seen. At least I hope there is. [face_tired]

Yes, Quin and Khaleen had a beautiful love story in Republic. I?m hoping for something similar for Antares and Sia, but I?m certainly not counting on it, based on recent comments by the author over in Lit. [face_tired]

o_O Funny you say that, Connie. I?ve always thought Draco is exactly your kinda guy. There is something about him that is very Durron?esque, say when Kyp was 35?ish and under. Don?t get me wrong the two men are very different but there are some similarities in their volatility drive. Antares is an Imperial Knight and serves Roan without too much question and with complete loyalty but he also has a stubborn streak and is a powerhouse; the level of Force power that is right under the male Skywalkers.

I haven't actually seen the end of Legacy yet (ya know I'm a TPB'er). But I've spoiled myself on it. And it makes me sad. :_|

But this story makes me happy, so keep writing!

Random thought: As a very probable decendant of Anakin Skywalker, Sia has just as much natural talent as Cade. Like Leia, she doesn't choose to use it, ykwim? But should she ever choose to open that particular can of whoop arse. [face_hypnotized] I'd pay money to see that.

I'm sorry, Cyn. It'll get better, it always does. [face_love] We're thinking about you and yours.

Thanks, as I'm writing this story, I have a feeling it'll become my pet of everything I've done... until I do the follow-up Cade story. :p

[face_laugh] He was just niffed that I out-qualified him with a hand gun the other day. Boys, heaven forbide that your better then them at something... even if it is just one thing in the world. He had an off-day, was the only reason it happened. :p

He's better with a long gun.. rifle, shot gun. I'm pretty small, smaller/shorter arms and the kick they have bothers me.

    ... [face_plain]

I... quite thinking about it. :(

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. [:D]

*nods* Theoretically, yes. My personal belief on the Skywalker bloodline is that Anakin Skywalker's genetics trump all. o_O So it doesn't matter that both Han and Jag are not Force sensitive, Leia's line is still just as potent as Luke's. Roan Fel is powerful, he's listed at the top of the 'Force power pyramid.' :p However, he doesn't seem to be quite as skilled as Kol was. I don't think it has anything to do with genetics; I think it was a matter of practice. Kol was a Jedi, Roan is an Emperor... Kol probably practiced a lot more, had a lot more time for building his skills. Roan has other fish to fry.o_O

    *laughs* Yeah, Ikwym. ;)

That's interesting, because while the genetics, I believe are the same, the male Skywalkers seem to be more powerful. Now, we've seen a lot more of them than the females so maybe that isn't a fair judgement; and, as you say Leia didn't get serious with her heritage until she was darn near middle age. The other two that we've seen as adults Jaina and presumably Sia are a little different.

Both of Jaina's brothers seem to have been more powerful. The only reason she defeated Caedus was because he basically gave up, realistically Jaina should not have won that fight, not with the way they had built Jacen into this ultimate Jedi-Sith demigod. Had Anakin lived to his prime and reached full potential... he would have bested them both.

Sia, is freshly knighted as of Legacy 22, when she tells Antares that she can take care of herself. [face_tired] She doesn't appear to be anywhere near as powerful as Cade, but who the hell is? Cade trumps all except Anakin Skywalker himself, even Luke... I believe. Of course I have my own little theory on Cade, which will play out at the end of "Until He Merits."
And you never know, who's going to show up? [face_mischief]o_O

I hope that we see Sia come into her own in Legacy War because she's tied with Obi and Anakin Solo as my fav Star Wars characters, except I'm probably just a ttaadd more fond of her. Girl power thing.:) I'm the biggest fan she has. [face_love]

</Kick Note :)> First, I have almost finished chapter two and will try to do so tomorrow. Also, I have some of chapters three and four written as well, this story shouldn't be anymore than seven chapters total. But, I wanted to share some imiges with everyone. As everyone knows, I've been pretty bummed but I'm never surprised to find the goodness of Star Wars fans and have enjoyed meeting so many of them through the years. Sia and Antares are very special to me, and I'm so pleased to know the support this promising young couple receives around the world, like Jag/Jaina actually. When I have the privilege to go to conventions and such, I'm always glad to see so many costumers representing both pairings and no one ever asks who they are, even though none are movie characters. Somethings are just right, I guess. :) But, I wanted to share these pictures because they've helped my spirits. They show how special Legacy has been to people all over the world. :)

    *shrugs*

Profic will write what they write, I can't control that, but I'll do what I do. [face_peace]

Special thanks to Imperial Draco and his Sia from Star Wars Legacy Group Germany for permission to share these. Germany is def on my list when we go back to Europe in a couple of years, I didn't make that far last spring but will next time. [:D]

Even a princess has to look perfect in front of the boyfriend. :)
    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/20.jpg]

Beautiful of Sia, so Leia?esque. She?s costumed just as Marasiah Fel was in Legacy?s first arc, Broken. [face_love] Even the rare hue of brown eyes is a dead ringer for Marasiah Fel.
    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/12.jpg]

    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/11.jpg]

Absolute beautiful costume of Lady Maladi, who is the only member of the One Sith that I like. :) And funny that she?s so chummy with Master Draco, because as it turns out Antares has quite a past with Maladi? in this little fanfiction here. They?ll be coming up in chapter 3. [face_mischief] [face_whistling] Bad ?Tares. [face_not_talking] [face_shame_on_you] I still [face_love] him though.

    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/22.jpg]

Absolutely beautiful of both Darth Maladi and Darth Nihl, who are, somewhat of a Sith item in the Legacy comics. o_O Wouldn?t we all like to be a fly on the wall. [face_laugh] But maybe not. [face_worried] :p The detail down to the exact make-up and the shape of the ears is just gorgeous. Exactly how I imagine both of them. [face_peace]

    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/8.jpg]

And last but certainly not least. [face_plain] Lord Vader approves of Sia and Antares. Anyone who disagrees can take it up with Him. [face_love] You will be pawned by The Man Himself. [face_mischief] Lord Vader is fond of Sia, she?s his favorite? I know this to be true. [face_mischief] [face_whistling]

Trace, thanks for sharing, I loved that! Jan is always so gracious. [face_peace] And, we have the same name... me and her. [face_blush]

 Chapter II coming up! Strange how fast thinkgs get proofed when you're close with the beta. [face_blush]

I've had some questions about Quin and Antares. No, it isn't confimred in canon that they're related. [face_peace] That's just my speculation, which most of this story is. :p However, Jan Duursema used the same model, Doug Wangler, for both characters. That doesn't mean the two men are related, however, add in the fact that they're both Force sensitive, kind of dark, and totally crazy about their girl... it could happen. o_O All that, plus the fact that they are dopplegangers, of course. :p

    Doug as Quin
    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/C4-479-quinlan-vos.jpg]

Doug as Antares Draco. I think he was being sized for armor. [face_thinking] But it was at a Star Wars event, and he's sporting the Draco hair cut and scowl.
    [image=http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/jleemynatt/antaresdraco.jpg]

So that's what Antares Draco looks like. [face_love] And people question Marasiah, why? [face_laugh] :p

<Kixk Note :)> Chapter III will be Antares on Korriban. [face_whistling]. And then, it's Team Mynock... and Morrigan Corde, yeah baby, yeah. My heterosexual girl crush runs strong. And things will become a lot more perfectly clear, or cloudy? Corde is involved after all. [face_mischief] ;)

Marasiah Fel had suffered more than her share of loss in her short lifetime; it was the nature of her duty. Elke?s death, Mohrgan?s death, the loss of the Empire and countless friends. But the loss which had always tormented her the most was naturally the loss of her mother. Like any child, it had rocked her to her core at such a young age. The bond they had was all the stronger because Sia was an only child. The common interest in life and the arts, the pain when she had died and her subsequent absence; Sia often thought of the way her life should have been, everything her mother would miss.

Today, however, was worse than her mother?s death

Marasiah had fully expected to die on Korriban, chained there bruised, violated, beaten and left alone to die. Through the days of agonizing torture, both emotional and physical, she had held strong to one thing: her love for Antares, the one thing the Sith could not take from her. In the end, she had betrayed that as well, and she would hate herself for it for the rest of her life, however short lived, it would most likely be.

Her primary captor and torturer had been Darth Havock who had once been an Imperial Knight named Ishkar Niin, the only Imperial Knight to ever leave the Order. Sia?s mother had been assigned to find him and bring him back to Bastion. She and Antares had found him and she'd been killed. Draco had fought him, his face scarred in the process and had reported back to Sia?s father that Niin had been killed.

Niin hadn?t died and lived to join the Sith Order, reborn as Darth Havock.

She hadn?t recognized Antares when he entered the torture chamber where she had been held captive, deprived of sleep and food for days. Her tormented eyes had first seen Ganner and Shado, and her first thoughts had been that they too had been captured on Agamar and brought to this horrible place to die. Then she had finally seen him, but didn?t recognize who is was. He had been dressed as a Sith and had felt like one in the Force.

When she had recognized that it was Antares, she had turned on him. She had believed the lies Niin had told her while he tortured her, lies that Antares had betrayed the Empire and lied to her.

She had lashed out and launched terrible accusations at him. Antares, however, had remained calm and led them out of the temple until they had been advanced upon by a hoard of Sith.

He had elected to stay behind so the others could escape. Sia had seen the truth and known Niin had lied to her; she had known the truth in the end and had wanted to stay there with him, fight with him, and die with him. As far as Sia was concerned, there could never be anywhere else for her to be other than with him, and she had wanted nothing other than to stay their and die with him. Antares had refused, and Ganner forced her onto the shuttle, leaving him there to die alone in that dark and awful place.

Once she, Ganner and Shado were safe in hyperspace, she had felt that he was in a lot of pain, and then he?d vanished in the Force. Sia suspected the worst.

To most, the man who had been lost was just another casualty, another young life full of potential, wasted in this never ending onslaught of evil which had been forced on them all. However, to Marasiah Fel, he was much more. He had always been there since she could remember, watching over her, a protector above all others. He?d bandaged her knee, tied her shoes, made her breakfast, read to her, sat through boring art lessons and whatever else he had had to do in order to be close to her, always observing, always watching. The greatest of her teachers, never hesitating, he alone.

She had always loved him, though she

    Great chapter!

Can't blame Sia for finally cracking after being tortured by Sith and then believing Antares to be dead. :( Love, love, loved Ganner in that first segment...so kind and noble and understanding. [face_love]

Roan looked at the Twilek Jedi, keeping Marasiah in his peripheral vision and declared innocently. ?But he wasn?t killed! And had I wanted him to be, he would have been.? Fel pointed out rightfully and asked. ?Does that not count for anything??

Vao?s mouth dropped open, disgust in his eyes. He looked at Krieg and spoke through gritted teeth. ?Would you intervene if I tried to kill him??

?I didn?t see a thing.? Krieg stated flatly, vile disgust seeping into his Force presence.

*applause!* Almost hated to see Sia step in there. I really can't stand Roan Fel and I'd pay GOOD money to see him get a stiff boot to his pompous arse. [face_mischief]

Marasiah stared after him and came to terms with everything he?d said, her own plans forming in her mind.

    You go, girl! ;)

and Morrigan Corde, yeah baby, yeah. My heterosexual girl crush runs strong.

Seconded! I lurve me some Morrigan, too, gal. Bring it! :D

Very nice! The twists and turns of the Legacy series is what attracts me so much to it. You've captured and worked them very well. Looking forward to the next chapter anxiously!

I liked that, and it begs a question.

If Fel did set up the attack on Agamar and the Jedi find out, what will they do? Will the alliance stand?

    Nice. [face_peace]

    True, that.

    He believes in back-ups?

    I missed the run-on though. :p

"Fine," Roan said wearily and tossed the Imperial Knight his lightsaber. He then unloaded various types of vibroblades, shock weapons, and finally the hold-out blaster hidden neatly at the small of his back. Krieg scratched his head and wondered how the man walked.

Would be better, I think. You kept changing tenses on me. :p

    Sorry. [face_blush]

What are you up to, Kick'ika? o_O

    [face_thinking]

The war with the GA was a ruse to lure out the Sith?

If so, Calixte was in it with him, but she sold him out. o_O

That would explain Draco's internal conflicts, agressive nature and permanent bad mood. His overall demeanor is odd, considering he's dating the hottest girl in the galaxy. I've always thought so, anyway. However, Marasiah demands a lot of responsibility, like keeping her alive.

That would be enough to keep one in a bad mood.

Yeah, better to not be there when the Annihilators and armies of cloned darksiders arrive. :p

    Nice. Liked it. Later. ;)

    Traci

    Great chapter!

    Thanks

[/i]Can't blame Sia for finally cracking after being tortured by Sith and then believing Antares to be dead. :( [/i]

*nods* I tried to walk a thin line with her characterization. Sia is a monarch and has probably been conditioned to not show emotion and she typically doesn?t. However, I?ve always chosen to view her more as a human being than an institution. :p And I went with the humanity in this scene? grief, anger, loss. It?s quite amazing how they?ve subtly set her life up so similar to Leia?s and that?s the hope I cling to. Leia lost so much, but she didn?t loose Han. [face_peace] She did for a while, but not really. [face_love]

Next time, we?ll see a very different Marasiah Fel. :p

Love, love, loved Ganner in that first segment...so kind and noble and understanding. [face_love]

    That?s our boy. [face_love]

*applause!* Almost hated to see Sia step in there. I really can't stand Roan Fel and I'd pay GOOD money to see him get a stiff boot to his pompous arse. [face_mischief]

*nods* Then you?ll want to be here for chapter IV, because Ro is going to get a Vader boot up his arse.

And we all know who wears the Vader boots. [face_whistling]

    ;)

    You go, girl! ;)

Oh, she will. ;) And I think we all know where she?s going. [face_love]

    You know I will. ;)

If Fel did set up the attack on Agamar and the Jedi find out, what will they do? Will the alliance stand?

It won?t matter, it?ll be over too quickly. [face_peace] ;) However, it could matter in the peace process, big time. [face_thinking]

?You?re wrong, Sia. Jag may have done things differently, but there is only one way to see them.

    Nice. [face_peace]

Yeah, I don?t think Jag would agree with everything Ro has done, but I don?t think he?d sit around second guessing him either? because at the end of the day, you?ve gotta do what you gotta do. Ykwis? o_O

    True, that.

    *nods*

    He believes in back-ups?

    [face_laugh] Yeah.

    Sorry. [face_blush]

You?re a physics major, not an English major? okay. :p

    I don't much like Roan Fel. :(

But I'm happy that Antares is still alive. :)

I read the last few comic books because of this story, you know. ;) Really didn't like the last issue. *sniffs*

Sia has to be beyond pissed. And the Jedi...yeah...me don't like Roan very much. :p

    Still, wonderful update.

    [:D] And that's perfectly fine. [:D]

The vast majority of women don't like him.

The only ones that do are the die hard Fel fans. Not 'Jag' fans or 'J/J' fans, I mean the die in the wool women Fel fans, who live and die SW based on the SkyFeltillos' :p

And I understand that, Connie, no worries. [face_peace]

First, Roan is a male Imperial ruler and that doesn't sit well with a lot of women, especially those who favor the Rebellian and GA. [face_peace] Not a thing in the world wrong with that. [:D]

Second, a lot of women have a problem with the way Roan treats Sia. The way he puts the Empire above his own child, because to a woman that is unthinkable. Again that is perfectly understandable.

If it does turn out that Ro set up Sia on Agamar, that is bad, regardless of his reason. Howevero_O Luke Skywalker pretty much did the same thing to Ben in Invincible and the Solo's sent their children to Myrkr and signed off on Jacen's death warrant. So, even though Ro's behavior is horrible, it's nothing we really haven't seen before or at least close to it. ;)

    *nods*

    Me to. [face_love]

I think he is, both here and otherwise.

    :* [:D]

[:D] Well, Jan has said that Antares has a "significant arc," in Legacy War which starts in Decemeber. That's difficult to do, if you're a dead guy. It wouldn't be impossible if they went into a significant backstory on the Imperial Knights. But the series is only six issues, so they're limited in time.

Most likely he is alive. ;)

So we'll be cautiously hopeful? o_O

*nods* Remember that is just a theory. We don't know that Roan set it up; however, I suspect he did. Or was at least complacent in it. The only Jedi who is in place to figure it out would be Shado Vao, because he was on Korriban when Sia went after Antares over Niin, he heard their arguement.

I don't know what Vao would do. He's a true Jedi, but going after Fel now won't help the Jedi Order, it'll only hurt them... regardless of what Roan did or didn't do.

Plus o_O I've always suspected that Shado is sweet on Princess Sia and would do anything for her. Well, he's pretty much proven that he'll do anything for her. :p Remember, Sia's BFF is Astraal Vao who is Shado's twin. The Vao twins were taken to the Imperial Mission when they were children after their parents died. So, I'd say Sia and Shado have known each other a long time, years before Vendaxa. ;) That could provide motivation for him to keep what he knows to himself.

Thank you, [:D] And thanks for reading. [:D]

You know, what makes everyone so far angry at Fel is what actualy makes him (& IKs in general) so appealing to me.

He did what needed to be done, with a clear consceince & never placed himself down a dark path. Sure, two of his own knights had to embrace the darkside to fufill his wishes, but again, they DID what needed to be done in order to serve the Empire as a whole. Things that even the Jedi would shy away from. In time, I think Ganner might see the wisdom in it, even if Sia never does.

And his "grandmother" nicknaming him the Sword was a cool touch. ;)

Completely agree with Overboard4Fel on how you've captured the feel, especially all the twists and turns of the series. =D=

    Excellent Chapter Piper! =D=

You guys rock! [:D] I love all the feedback. :D

    *nods*

Most men love Roan, and, as usual, I'm with the guys. :p

    [face_thinking]

Unless, their Fel haters, for the most part. But Fel haters? are a whole other set of issues. None of which have anything to do with Roan as a person, the roots are much deeper than that and are usually found in either Jaina?s love life or an overall hatred for the Empire. Both of which I understand, even if I don?t think it?s fair to Roan and especially Sia. That?s been my observation.

If fangirls want to have Cade's baby, fanboys want to have Ro's. [face_laugh]

And he always does do what needs to be done. [face_peace] And the thing is, he really hasn't done anything that Luke or Mon didn't do (or damn close) at one time or another.

His ability to be morally ambiguous without being dark and still have such a vile hatred for the Sith is fascinating.

Reminds me a lot of Morrigan Corde, actually. [face_whistling] [face_mischief] Right down to the not-so-healthy relationships that each have with their children.

They'll be coming up at the end of three and then again with Cade in four. And a lot will be answered. [face_whistling]

Absolutely. Jedi like Quin Vos, they?re not orthodox but were they wrong? I don?t think so.

The Imperial Knights break down into two groups.

    Roan, Antares, Sigel

    Sia, Ganner, Azlyn, Tries

And each group acts as a spoiler to the other. Group B are (for all practical purposes) Jedi. But it tends to be group A that gets things done. :p

Azlyn?s kill strike to Krayt and Tries saving the Mon Cal, not withstanding, of course. :p

Antares Draco is going to get it done on Korriban, something that Ganner could never do. Even though it?s Ganner who has kept Draco from crossing lines that he didn?t need to cross, so their codependent on one another.

Agreed. I think Krieg understands, he just can?t bring himself to do it. Sia is a little different. If Roan did set up the man she loves? That is, deep. I'd say it'll take her a long time to completely forgive him. Regardless of the reason or outcome. [face_peace]

Yeah, I had a scene in another fic I wrote between Roan and Jaina where she named him The Sword of the Empire. If you want, I?ll shoot you a link via PM. :)

Aw, thanks. [face_blush] The next two chapters are my version of what will probably be Legacy War 4 and 5. :p Somewhere in there. 8-} I?ll explain the theories I?ve come up with over the last four years.

Thanks. [face_blush] Yeah, Master Draco wasn?t too happy when last we saw him. I don?t think people understand that IF Draco is dead? the Alliance is karked.

    Royally. [face_plain]

Which is why I?m convinced that he isn?t. ;)
