Hello Kitty and Attitudes towards Sex

I was working the till tonight when a women comes through with a Hello Kitty DVD. For reasons I don't(and will never) understand, she felt the need to speak to me. She said the following(approximately): "My daughter's a Hello Kitty freak." A few seconds pass. "She's 23."
My first thought was this: And I'll bet she's a freak in the sack too, with accompanying imagery. Okay, actually my first thought was I don't give a ****, but that's a habit so it doesn't count.

My point is this; has anyone noticed a definitive link between a woman/girl's tastes in toys/cute things and her freakiness?
