O.k. O.k. I know what you're gonna say, get outside then :p smartass.

Anyhow what this subject is about is I am in need of assistance. It's probably gonna sound lazy or impatient of me but here's the deal. I am currently ready to get my film rendered out and uploaded on the net, save for one shot of a sunny, not so cloudy sky... for the past WEEK (living in Canada of course) it's been overcast and snowing and you name it, the film gods have made it their duty to smite my project down with it. So pretty much if anyone would be so kind as to film a 10 second shot of the sunny sky, with as little clouds as possible, uncompressed, I would be greatly appreciative, cause I really wanna get my film out. I'm pretty convinced that the sun may never come out here again, and I promised people I'd have this thing out this week. Of course I would be willing to assist in return anyone with something for their project.

I guess I'll just wait it out, though it's only a 10 second shot, not very demanding... the irony is when I made this post it was overcast, now it's all sunny out but I'm at work, by the time I get off it'll be dark... this gives hope for a sunny tomorrow I suppose...

Edit: Did I mention it's a Ninja video? If that makes it any more appealing to help with...

if its any consolation, I would help, but my digital camera broke and all I have is my old 8mm camera with no digital output. So i really can't help you there. Some of those clips I showed you are pretty cheap though, only like 14 bucks.

Arent you near a window? Film from there(with a tripod, just open the window. Unless you need a specific shot. I cant help much though, not a good enough camera.

No no no, see it's not a problem that I can't go outside or anything like that, it's the issue that the sun never seems to be out here, and I would like to get this thing out this weekend, not in July. Like I was saying the past week has been all overcast and crap, and the only time it turned sunny is when I'm at work without my camera, by the time I get home it'll be dark. Murphey's law dictates that tomorrow either the same thing will happen or that it won't be sunny at all... basically it's evil Canadian weather, and waiting on weather sucks.

It would be awesome if someone could get me a solid 10 seconds of tripoded sunny sky, I know it seems simple like "why don't you just do it yourself" but like I said, the weather hates me...

Edit: Here's an idea, someone can send me 10 seconds of sunny sky, and in turn, I'll gladly send you 10 seconds of the most miserable looking overcast sky you can imagine :)

That alone makes me wish it was sunny over here in the UK! Best of luck to you :)

You just need a tripod'ed non-moving shot of the sun?

Any particular angle? I think it'll be setting soon.. I'm not sure how good of a shot I could get.
EDIT: Yeah.. I should have a few shots for you to choose from. You'll have to let me know how to get them to you. I'll get some screencaps online in a few.

Nah, not really fussy about the angle, 45 degrees? and yeah tripodded, no movement.

    Thanks for the interest.

I don't know if it's interest (no offense) so much as you being lucky enough to catch me in a 'camera mood'. I just built myself one of those at-home $14 steadi-cams, so I had just been outside practicing with it before I came in and saw your post.

Anyway, I've got a few to choose from. The caps should give you and idea of which one you want.

Clouds were unavoidable.. I wasn't sure if you wanted clear blue or not. This is what Michigan's sky is currently offering from where I sit.
These were all filmed at 1440x1080 pixels. The clouds are slowly moving to the left. Just tell me which image you want, what format you need and where to send it, and I'll YouSendit it to you.

I have my moments. The occasional tip o' the hat in someone's credits never really hurts, right?
