Hmm my question is, was he wearing a wig? Coz that might make things difficult.

The basic Qui-Gon style is a half ponytail. So grab the front sections of your hair along the hairline, and tie them in a ponytail at the back. His is quite high too. I don't know about the 'twist', but it just looks like they've used leather cording to bind the hair; this also helps it sit down flat. If anything, the hair is a little bit loose I think. It does look a bit like the side sections are underneath in the ponytail - to do that, section your hair into three - two sides and front (you might need help with this next step though). Grab the side bits and hold them where the ponytail will be, and the grab the top bit and secure it over the top. It might be easier to tie each ection (the side and front) with separate ties, and then cover that with the cording.

    Hope that helps!

It is a wig. Liam Neeson's hair wasn't that long.

Exactly. I remember a story from "The Making of" Ep I in which the wig was damaged in the storm and Liam was concerned about how it looked. The hairdresser is quoted as telling him not to worry as no one would be looking at him but at all the CGI characters. She was wrong. [face_hypnotized]

Last_Chael has a good description. I'm female with long hair. I sometimes wear it like that in Jedi garb. That's exactly how I do it. My hair is really fine so I use a rubber-like band to secure it and then cover that with the leather tie.
