AWB, they didn't lock it. He locked it when he originally posted it. There's no edits. It's kind of funny. :p

First, most people will advise you to stay away from titles with "of the" in them. Personally, I don't see a problem with it. As for you title, I think it would sound better as "The Sith Knight" or the "The Dark Jedi" or even "The Sith Warrior". "Knight of the Sith" is just kind of awkward to say.

I usually find that it's easier to give things titles after I'm done writing them. Have patience, don't worry about the title right now if you haven't finished the script.

Anything with "Of The" is gold.

See if you can come up with something without "of the" or "The" in the title. ;)

First, theres no reason for this to be locked; it is relevant to fanfilms. Second, yes, steer away from "of the." Third, Knight of the Sith sounds, frankly, stupid. Try for something more esoteric, that will make sense during the movie. Also, I agree, write the script, or at aleast a plot outline, then you can name the film.

    Just a little nerd info...

The Jedi Order have: Padawans, Knights and Masters
The Sith Lords have: Apprentices, Warriors and Masters

So... Knight of the Sith is kinda incorrect...

"Warrior of the Sith" is marginally better...

Though just "Sith Warrior" sounds pretty funky to me...

"Oh, Knight of the Sith will be about a bounty hunter and his hilarious shinanigans with his sidekick, a Rodian. It will be the best fanfilm ever with no Sith, no Jedi, no lightsabres, and no forests! I chose to name it first because it shapes the plot."

    ;)

"See if you can come up with something without "of the" or "The" in the title"

Just like "The Empire Strikes back" or "Return of the Jedi" or "The Phantom Menace" or "Attack of the Clones"

Whats the first thing you do when making a film?
    Write it?
    Preproduce it?
    Previs it?
    Mabye even film it!

    NO!

THE FIRST THING YOU MUST DO BEFORE MAKING A FILM IS TO THINK OF A CATCHY TITLE!
GEORGE LUCAS WAS THINKING ONE DAY THEN SUDDENLY
"Hmm star wars.. good name- prehaps I will make a film of it someday"

Then why are you posting in it?:p Anyway I agree but who cares? If it's locked it's locked. Personally I think you should write the script before thinking of a name but that's just me.
*Wonders off to find some more wiity Of the and forest jokes that are the height of humour in such threads*

Actually, I agree with Lone Padawan. I think up a working title, just so I can discuss it, and then go back once the script is complete and think up a good name.

Well the movie is about a Jedi Padwan who's name might be Shinn-Kan Din i don't know yet. And he is sent on his first mission and the Sith lord turns him to the Dark Side. And one night he will fight 5 Jedi Masters by himself. And he gets away to this planet called Courscan. And he get's 10 Bounty Hunter's to hunt down the Jedi Knights and kill them but he might not live.

    *SNOOOOORRRRRRT!*

If that plot summary were a role-playing game, I'd be screaming "Munchkin!" and "Powergamer!". As it is, it still sounds like a fan-boy's wet dream.

I mean, let's look at this, shall we? A lone Padawan is first turned--not killed, but turned--by a Sith lord. Then this dark apprentice--who is not fully trained--takes on, not one, but FIVE fully trained Jedi Masters and is still spunky enough to go looking for bounty hunters, pay their fees, and convince them to go hunting Jedi...

This isn't willing suspension of disbelief...this is snapping disbelief like a rubber band and then stomping on the pieces.

And furthermore, yet another story about someone going over to the dark side? There's how many fan films about that, now? Yeesh! ("But I like someone going over to the dark side! Bad guys are cool!" Yeah, right. Thank the maker the 90's are over and we can start having heroes who are heroes again, instead of having to have dark and brooding antiheroes or outright bad guys in ever damn story...)

In short, no, I don't much like your idea. Don't let that stop you from making your fan film, but do understand that--to my ears at least--it sounds trite, unoriginal, uninspired, and unrealistic, with no real meat to the story. In fact, with no real story, just an excuse for people to fight. And not even to have fights that make any realistic sense.

    Just my two Republic credits...
