Herein, we shall discuss how office jobs make us fat.

I'm tired of people telling me how fat they get. I wanna gain weight and my physical job is one of the things that stops me. I am slender and sleek and wiry and I'm tired of it.

 

At this point in my life nothing can make me fat. I'll have to wait about 10 or 15 years. Well... I guess I could get fat, but the things that are causing my sedentary lifestyle also help keep me from eating a lot. I'm also much weaker than I was when I exercised regularly.

And it's my policy to not believe women when they criticize their own appearance.

 

I know it! And it doesn't help either when my co-workers/superiors leave a Reeses cheesecake in the fridge for everyone.

 

I work in the school library, and I get a surprising amount of exercise.

 

I don't work in an office. I use one for all of about 45 minutes a day.

 

My job doesn't give me a lot in the way of exercise, so it can be tough to keep the weight off.

 

It is so true. SO TRUE.

****ing office jobs. I am about this close to going back to Uni so I will get more done with my life.

Beer makes me fat.

 

Oh yes those darn offices. I try to walk around as much as possible but with the professional attire including high heels makes that difficult.

And everyone brings in yummy treats to share.

I work in an office, but I walk there and back (it's a brisk 15-minute walk). However, I'm currently looking for a good fitness centre where I could exercise after work, because I have slight problems with my back and it keeps hurting.

 

It irritates the living hell out of me when people complain about working in an office. You get internet access, fair amount of time (well, depends of course) devoted in not doing work, not to mention great hours.

I'd go the gym after work/class (only $15/month!) but I have slight problems with laziness, traffic, gym people and agoraphobia.

Just because I multitask like a mothersnarker, does not mean I'm not working. Unfortunately.

Every job has its good and bad points and the grass is greener yada yada. So go be irritated all you like Tunick, but you can go get stuffed while you're at it.

 

My job as a museum guide means I'm on my feet for 8-10 hours on a given work day. I could totally go for sitting more.

My co-workers have a habit of bringing in yummy treats to share like hot volcano chips I swear these things are hot indeed, enough to make your mouth go numb and you can't taste the chips anymore

Donuts cookies, chocholate bars

When the meetings that have food included are done, they leave it out for everyone in the entire office to share

 

I'm already overweight. And standing/walking long periods of time really isn't too good for me, so that does add to the trouble somewhat.

 

When I lived close to work I would walk to work instead of drive, I dropped weight like mad. Then when I accepted the new job I found a place too far away to walk to, so now I gained that weight back

 

I've been in my office job for over a year now, and I'm just as fit and toned as ever.

What's wrong with me?

 

TBF, well for one you're a boy. Seems most, many at least have less issues with gaining weight then girls.

Though that may be part one's metabolism, I'm sure it's your choice.

 

You're right, actually. I do have a good metabilism.
