Here's an odd one... Flyboy's jacket (1978 Dawn of the Dead)

Here's one I doubt has ever been asked about.

I'm looking for a jacket that's closest to that of the jacket Steven (Flyboy) from the original Dawn of the Dead wears.

I really can't find many source photos for it, but he wears it in the early half of the film. Brown leather, fuzzy collar...

Not quite a biker's jacket, but almost. Very Late 70s.

You can see it a few times here:

    and here

I asked around the zombie-related forums I post on for more pics, so hopefully I'll find some. If I do, I'll post em here. Thanks.

It's a leather flight jacket. Try Googleing that.

God, just looking at that jacket and that picture makes me shiver. That movie has the same effect on me Empire Strikes Back always has. Just wonderful.

The only difference seems to be that Flyboy's Jacket appears to have Epaulettes.

    I don't remember that movie. [face_hypnotized] I was 18 in 1978.

    And I like Zombie movies.

You don't remember Dawn of the Dead?..

It's THE zombie movie. George A. Romero directed and wrote it, Dario Argento revives the script and editted the Italian version, Goblin scored it. It's Romero's middle of the first zombie trilogy, between his Night of the Living Dead and Day of the Dead. It's probably the most popular of the three.

    And it's an amazing film.

Seriously girl, go out and rent the Extended cut of the movie. Despite the cheesy special effects and makeup it has got to be one of the best Zombie movies ever. Also, by seeing it you'll get one of the sight gags in Land of the Dead where a 'live' character from that film makes a cameo as his zombie alter ego. (And I am totally jealous of his physique nowadays. Seriously, Savini's freaking HUGE!)

I always get a giggle out of the end credits of Dawn as I work in a mall. It's horribly accurate.

And Day of the Dead is also worth a watch.

I've been trying to find a copy of Document of the Dead. I actually love the special effects, and would like to see how some of the less obvious stuff is done. For it's time, and the budget, those effects were groundbreaking... Mostly because of how messy they were. No one was doing that back then.

Check out Savini's site, he was on some diet, and there's pictures of him before and after. Might tell you what diet it was.

I wanna go up for Zombiefest, I've never been to the mall (about 2.5-3 hours away). I hear you can't even find any Dawn-related merch except for a shirt or two at hot topic, and they've changed a lot of the indentifiable stuff in the mall. What a shame.

Day might be my favorite, I can never decide. They're all so different, but Day's effects and makeup are just top shelf. That was Savini and Nicotero's heyday.

I'm sure I must have seen it, but I don't remember any of the scenes from the clips I saw on one site. [face_blush]
