That Flash costume is ... not good. Certainly not in the same frame with that Batman and Wonder Woman one...

I mean, I wasn't going to see it anyway, but still.

 

"If the amount of cringe wasn't enough in BvS, don't worry. We brought him back for EVEN MORE!"

 

He could've died. Lexcorp could've suffered a hostile takeover. The board could have replaced him with his uncle, the older Lex Luthor for which he was actually named. Still, they can perhaps say that the kryptonite made him a lunatic or something, and now they have a chance to revamp his cahracter into something remotely watchable or human.

Just do something. Anything. Please.

But yeah, I agree. That Lex was utter fail. I'd be perfectly happy if he happened to suffer a fatal "accident" while in Arkham.

Alas, that's not gonna happen...and were stuck with that freak.

 

I mean, he could just . . . not be back. I mean, that happens in franchises. Not every character from every franchise film is in every other film in that franchise.

 

Aren't there rumors that Jared Leto isn't coming back as the Joker? There is still hope.

 

That and it's been pretty much known since DOJ that Lex would be in the JL film.

Except that Eisenberg was willing to come back and because Lex is Darkseid's bitch, it has been a foregone conclusion that Lex would play a role in this film.

Nothing concrete with him.

 

Hopefully, like your understanding of Darkseid in BvS, he can be completely central to the plot without ever appearing in the film, being referenced, or having his apparent in-universe existence make any impact on things at all.

 

To that I can only say, "honka honka!"

 

I would be fine with Leto not coming back as the Joker.

I would actually be fine if the Joker doesn't come back for awhile, especially this incarnation of the character. There are some many other characters to explore and bring into the DCEU.

As far as Lex returning for Justice League, I expected as much. I mean, the way BvS ended, I'm sure Batman will want to visit Lex in Arkham and question him about what he knows about Steppenwolf. It makes sense for him to reappear. I just hope Lex's mom name isn't Martha.

I hate the way the Flash's costume looks, especially the head piece. I hope there's a redesign when he gets his own solo flick.

And I can imagine how, tonally, JL migh be different than MoS or BvS. I mean, from Kal's perspective, it's going a bit like this:
- MoS: I'm an actual alien, so WTF am I doing here? And boy, are my people crazy megalomaniacs.
- BvS: I'm suspected, with good reason considering Zod, and it's hard doing it alone. To top it all, there's a psychopath after my family, and the one guy I should trust is on a rampage against me.
- JL: Finally people have realised I can be useful, and I've got friends to help me in my quest. Boy, it's good to be back!

So yeah, I get the mood shift, and how JL might be just a bit more buoyant and generally happy than MoS or BvS, raised stakes (Steppenwolf and Darkseid) notwithstanding.

.. but yeah, hopefully they get smashed off his face pretty quickly.

 

It's kind of a cool pic, but it really doesn't change my anticipation or excitement of the film. It's just another photo of the characters standing still.

I'm not a fan of Cyborg's look. I would prefer a more practical than digital effect to the costume. It reminds me too much of Transformers and reminds me of the CGI suit on Green Lantern.
